5. Setup

5.1 Charging the Battery

Before first use, fully charge the camera. Connect the camera to the charger plug using the provided USB cable. A full charge typically takes about 4 hours. The battery indicator on the screen will show charging status.

5.2 Inserting a Memory Card

The camera supports MicroSD / TF cards up to 256GB. Locate the external card slot and gently insert the memory card until it clicks into place. Ensure the card is formatted before initial use (refer to the 'Operating Instructions' for formatting).

5.3 Attaching the Clip

Choose between the Short 360° Back Clip or the Long 360° Shoulder Clip based on your preference. Attach the clip to the back of the camera and secure it to your clothing or gear.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Power On/Off

  • Power On: Long press the Power button until the screen turns on.
  • Power Off: Long press the Power button until the camera shuts down.

6.2 Video Recording

  • Start Recording: Short press the Video button to begin video recording.
  • Stop Recording: Short press the Video button again to stop recording.

6.3 Audio Recording

  • Start Audio Recording: Refer to the camera's on-screen menu or dedicated audio button (if available) to initiate audio-only recording.
  • Stop Audio Recording: Press the same button or select the option from the menu to stop.

6.4 Taking Photos

  • Take Photo: Short press the Photo button to capture a still image.

6.5 Night Vision Function

  • Activate/Deactivate Night Vision: Long press the light button to turn ON/OFF the IR night vision function.

6.6 File Protection (Lock Current File)

  • To lock the current recording file, press the designated 'Lock' button or follow the on-screen prompts. This prevents the file from being overwritten during loop recording.

6.7 Reset Button

  • If the device becomes unresponsive, locate the small 'Reset Button' (often a pinhole) and use a thin object (like a paperclip) to press it. This will restart the camera without deleting data.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the camera body. For the lens, use a specialized lens cleaning cloth and solution.
  • Storage: Store the camera in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Battery Care: For long-term storage, charge the battery to about 50% every few months to prolong its lifespan.
  • Firmware Updates: Check the official BOBLOV website periodically for any available firmware updates to ensure optimal performance.

8. Troubleshooting

  • Camera not turning on: Ensure the battery is charged. If it's charged, try pressing the Reset button.
  • Recording issues (e.g., freezing, corrupted files): Format the memory card. Ensure you are using a high-quality MicroSD/TF card (Class 10/A1 recommended).
  • Poor night vision quality: Clean the camera lens and ensure no obstructions are blocking the IR lights.
  • Short battery life: Ensure the camera is fully charged. Reduce screen brightness or turn off unnecessary features to conserve power.
  • Camera not recognized by computer: Try a different USB cable or USB port. Ensure the camera is powered on and in the correct USB mode (if applicable).
