Video demonstrating the unboxing and various functions of the FY106B Multimeter, including auto mode, DC/AC voltage, frequency, resistance, continuity, diode, capacitance, DC/AC current, flashlight, data hold, NCV, and zero live line detection.
Voltage Measurement (DC/AC)
- Connect the red test lead to the 'Input Jack' and the black test lead to the 'COM Jack'.
- Select DC Voltage or AC Voltage mode using the 'SEL' button if not in auto mode.
- Connect the test leads across the component or circuit to measure voltage.

Current Measurement (DC/AC)
- WARNING: Ensure the circuit is de-energized before connecting the multimeter in series for current measurement.
- Connect the red test lead to the 'Current Jack' and the black test lead to the 'COM Jack'.
- Select DC Current or AC Current mode.
- Break the circuit and connect the multimeter in series with the load.
Resistance Measurement
- Connect the red test lead to the 'Input Jack' and the black test lead to the 'COM Jack'.
- Select Resistance mode.
- Connect the test leads across the component to measure its resistance. Ensure the component is isolated from power.

Capacitance Measurement (FY106B only)
- Connect the red test lead to the 'Input Jack' and the black test lead to the 'COM Jack'.
- Select Capacitance mode.
- Connect the test leads across the capacitor. Ensure the capacitor is discharged before testing.

Frequency Measurement
- Connect the red test lead to the 'Input Jack' and the black test lead to the 'COM Jack'.
- Select Frequency mode.
- Connect the test leads to the signal source.

Continuity Test
- Connect the red test lead to the 'Input Jack' and the black test lead to the 'COM Jack'.
- Select Continuity mode.
- Touch the test leads to the ends of the circuit or component. A beep indicates continuity.
Diode Test (FY106B only)
- Connect the red test lead to the 'Input Jack' and the black test lead to the 'COM Jack'.
- Select Diode mode.
- Connect the test leads across the diode. The display will show the forward voltage drop.
Non-Contact Voltage (NCV) Detection

7. Maintenance
7.1. Cleaning
To clean the multimeter, wipe the case with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Do not use abrasives or solvents. Ensure the device is powered off and disconnected from any circuits before cleaning.
7.2. Battery Replacement
When the low battery indicator appears on the display, replace the batteries as described in the 'Battery Installation' section (4.1). Always use new AAA batteries of the correct type.
8. Troubleshooting
- No display/Power issues: Check if the batteries are correctly installed and have sufficient charge. Replace batteries if necessary.
- Incorrect readings: Ensure the correct measurement function is selected and test leads are properly connected. Verify that the component being tested is isolated from power if required.
- No continuity beep: Check if the circuit is open or if the test leads are faulty.
- NCV not detecting: Ensure the NCV probe is close enough to the AC voltage source.
9. User Tips
- For capacitance measurements, especially with the FY106B model, ensure the capacitor is fully discharged before connecting the multimeter to avoid damage and ensure accurate readings. The FY106B is capable of measuring up to 40000μF.
