Setup Guide
Package Contents (Typical)
While specific contents may vary, a typical package includes:
- TEYUN Q26 Audio Interface
- USB-A to USB-B Cable (for PC connection)
- USB-C Cable (for mobile connection, note: OTG adapter not included)
- User Manual (this document)
Connecting to a Computer (PC/Mac)

- Connect one end of the provided USB-A to USB-B cable to the "PC USB AUDIO" port on the rear of the Q26.
- Connect the other end of the USB-A cable to an available USB port on your computer.
- The computer will simultaneously provide power to the sound card and handle data transmission.
- The Q26 is generally plug-and-play and compatible with mainstream audio software. For specific drivers or advanced features, check the official TEYUN website.
Connecting to a Mobile Phone (Android/iOS)

- Connect one end of the provided USB-C cable to the "OTG Mobile External Power Supply" port on the rear of the Q26.
- Connect the other end of the USB-C cable to your mobile phone.
- Important Note: A qualified OTG (On-The-Go) adapter may be required for some mobile phones, as it is not included. Some phones may not be able to power the sound card properly. If the Q26 does not function correctly, an external DC 5V-2A power adapter or portable charger may be needed to power the sound card via the dedicated DC 5V input port.
Connecting Audio Devices

- Microphones: Connect XLR or 1/4" TRS microphone cables to the "INPUT 1 MIC/LINE" and "INPUT 2 MIC/LINE" combo jacks on the front panel.
- Instruments (Guitar/Synthesizer): Connect 1/4" TS instrument cables to the "INPUT 1 MIC/LINE" or "INPUT 2 MIC/LINE" jacks. Use the "+10dB" switch for instruments if needed.
- Headphones: Connect your headphones to the "PHONES" jack on the front panel.
- Main Outputs: Connect your studio monitors or speakers to the "MAIN OUTPUTS" (1/4" TRS) or "1L/2R" (RCA) jacks on the rear panel.
Operating Instructions

Front Panel Controls
- +10dB Switch: Engages an additional 10dB gain boost, typically used when connecting musical instruments with lower output levels.
- 48V (Phantom Power) Switch: Activates +48V phantom power for condenser microphones connected to INPUT 1 or INPUT 2. Ensure this is only enabled for microphones that require it.
- GAIN 1 / GAIN 2 Knobs: Adjust the input signal gain for INPUT 1 and INPUT 2 respectively. Turn clockwise to increase gain, counter-clockwise to decrease. Set these to an appropriate level to avoid clipping (distortion).
- O/EFF (Reverberation Effect Gain) Knob: Controls the amount of the built-in DSP reverberation effect applied to the input signals.
- REC PC Switch: This switch controls the internal recording path to the PC. Ensure it is set correctly for your recording needs.
- OUTPUT Knob: Adjusts the overall volume level of the main outputs (1/4" TRS and RCA).
- PHONES Knob: Controls the volume level of the headphone output.
- DIRECT MONITOR Switch: Enables direct monitoring of your input signals with zero latency, allowing you to hear yourself and your instruments without delay from the computer.
Basic Operation
- Power On: Connect the Q26 to your computer or mobile device as described in the Setup Guide. The device will power on automatically.
- Connect Inputs: Plug in your microphones or instruments to INPUT 1 and/or INPUT 2.
- Set Gain: Slowly turn the GAIN knobs clockwise until you see a healthy signal level in your recording software, without peaking (red lights indicating clipping).
- Monitor Audio: Connect headphones to the PHONES jack and adjust the PHONES knob. Engage the DIRECT MONITOR switch to hear your inputs directly.
- Connect Outputs: Connect your speakers to the MAIN OUTPUTS and adjust the OUTPUT knob for desired listening volume.
- Apply Effects (Optional): Adjust the O/EFF knob to add reverberation to your inputs.
- Start Recording: Open your preferred Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) or recording software on your computer/mobile device. Select the TEYUN Q26 as your audio input/output device. Ensure the REC PC switch is correctly configured for recording.
Applications

The TEYUN Q26 is versatile and suitable for a wide range of audio applications, including:
- Music Recording: Capture vocals and instruments with high fidelity.
- Network Karaoke: Enhance your online singing performances with DSP effects.
- Vocal Recording: Achieve clear and professional vocal tracks.
- ASMR Fabrication: Record subtle sounds with precision.
- Live Broadcasting: Provide high-quality audio for streaming.
User Tips
- Multi-track Recording: The TEYUN Q26 supports two independent input channels, allowing for simultaneous multi-track recording of two separate audio sources (e.g., two microphones, or a microphone and a guitar).
- Driver Installation: While often plug-and-play, for optimal performance or specific operating systems, always check the official TEYUN website for the latest drivers.
- Mobile Power: If using with a mobile phone and experiencing power issues, ensure you use a high-quality OTG adapter and consider connecting an external 5V-2A power supply to the Q26's DC IN port.
- Gain Staging: Properly adjust input gain (GAIN 1/2) to prevent clipping and ensure a strong signal. Use the +10dB switch for instruments if their output is too low.
- Direct Monitoring: Utilize the DIRECT MONITOR feature to eliminate latency during recording, especially when tracking vocals or instruments.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the unit. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Cable Care: Handle cables carefully. Avoid bending or twisting them excessively to prevent damage.
- Ventilation: Ensure the unit has adequate ventilation and is not covered during operation.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No power/device not recognized | Loose USB connection, insufficient power, incorrect cable. |
|
| No sound from inputs | Incorrect gain, phantom power off (for condenser mics), wrong input selected in software, cable issue. |
|
| Distorted sound | Input gain too high (clipping), faulty cable, software settings. |
|
| Latency during recording | Software monitoring, high buffer size. |
