5. Setup

5.1. Battery Installation

  1. Unscrew the tailcap of the flashlight.
  2. Insert the included 18650 battery with the positive (+) end facing towards the head of the flashlight. Alternatively, you can use two CR123A batteries.
  3. Screw the tailcap back on tightly to ensure proper contact and waterproof sealing.

5.2. Initial Charging

  1. Locate the Type-C charging port on the side of the flashlight.
  2. Open the rubber cover of the Type-C port.
  3. Connect the flashlight to a USB power source (e.g., computer, wall adapter) using the provided Type-C cable.
  4. The power indicator on the side switch will show red during charging.
  5. Charging is complete when the indicator turns green (approximately 4 hours).
  6. Close the rubber cover firmly after charging to maintain waterproof integrity.

6. Operating Instructions

The SPERAS EST2 features both a Tactical Tail Button and a Side Button for versatile operation.

6.1. Tactical Tail Button

  • ON/OFF: Fully press the tail button to turn the flashlight ON or OFF.
  • Momentary ON: Half-press and hold the tail button for momentary illumination. Release to turn off.
  • Strobe Mode: With the flashlight OFF, half-press the tail button twice quickly to activate Strobe mode.

6.2. Side Button

  • Change Light Modes: When the flashlight is ON, press the side button to cycle through light modes (ECO → Low → Medium → High).
  • One-touch ECO: With the flashlight OFF, press and hold the side button for 1 second to activate ECO mode (10LM).
  • One-touch Turbo: With the flashlight ON, double-click the side button to activate Turbo mode (1900LM).
  • Strobe Mode: With the flashlight ON, triple-click the side button to activate Strobe mode.
  • SOS Mode: With the flashlight ON, quadruple-click the side button to activate SOS mode.

6.3. Power Indicator

  • Yellow: 70% - 30% battery remaining
  • Red: 30% - 5% battery remaining

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Clean the flashlight body with a soft, damp cloth. For the lens, use a lens cleaning cloth.
  • Lubrication: Periodically lubricate the O-rings and threads with silicone grease to maintain waterproof sealing and smooth operation.
  • Battery Care: If the flashlight will not be used for an extended period, remove the battery to prevent leakage. Store batteries in a cool, dry place.
  • Waterproof Seal: Ensure the Type-C charging port's rubber cover and the tailcap are securely closed to maintain the IP68 waterproof rating.

8. Troubleshooting

Flashlight does not turn on:
  • Check if the battery is inserted correctly with the positive (+) end facing the head.
  • Ensure the tailcap is screwed on tightly.
  • Verify the battery has sufficient charge. If not, charge the battery.
  • Clean the battery contacts and flashlight terminals if they appear dirty.
Light output is weak or flickering:
  • The battery may be low. Recharge or replace the battery.
  • Ensure the tailcap is fully tightened.
  • Clean the battery contacts.
