4. Setup and Connection
4.1 Charging the Device
Before initial use, or if the red indicator flashes, charge the M5 Air Mouse:
- Connect the Micro USB charging cable to the charging port on the device.
- Connect the other end of the cable to a 5V2A charger (not included).
- The red LED indicator will turn ON while charging.
- The red LED indicator will turn OFF when the device is fully charged.
- It is recommended to charge for at least 2 hours to restore full power if completely drained.
4.2 2.4G Mode Connection
This mode uses a USB receiver for wireless communication.
- Plug the USB receiver into an available USB port on your device (e.g., TV box, computer).
- Wait for 20-60 seconds for the device to automatically install the necessary driver for the USB receiver.
- Move the M5 Air Mouse. If the mouse cursor moves on the screen, the pairing is successful.
- If pairing is unsuccessful: Press and hold the [OK] button and the [BACK] button simultaneously until the LED light begins to flash. Release the buttons. Pairing is successful when the LED light stops flashing.
4.3 Bluetooth 5.2 Mode Connection
This mode uses Bluetooth for wireless communication and does not require the USB receiver.
- Before using, ensure the Bluetooth function is enabled on your main device (e.g., Smart TV, computer).
- On the M5 Air Mouse, long press the [OK] button and the [Home] button simultaneously. The LED will begin to flash quickly, indicating the product has entered pre-pairing mode.
- On your main device, navigate to the Bluetooth settings and select 'add new devices' or 'search for new devices'.
- Look for the air remote's name (e.g., 'M5') in the list of available devices.
- Click on the name to connect.
- Once successfully connected, you can control the mouse pointer by waving the M5 Air Mouse in the air.
- If the connection is unsuccessful: Repeat steps 2-5.
- Reconnection Efficiency: The normal reconnection time is 3-5 seconds after initial successful pairing.
- Historical Device Connection: The M5 Air Mouse can only remember the pairing information of one main device at a time. If you connect it to a new device, it will not automatically reconnect to previously paired devices. To reconnect to an old device, you may need to delete the historical connection information for the M5 on that device and then re-pair.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Air Mouse Function
Once connected, activate the air mouse function by pressing the [Air Mouse ON/OFF] button. You can then move the cursor on the screen by waving the remote in the air. Press the button again to deactivate the air mouse function.

5.3 CPI Adjustment (Mouse Cursor Speed)
The CPI (Counts Per Inch) determines the speed of the mouse cursor. The M5 Air Mouse has 3 adjustable CPI levels (1, 2, 3, 4 Level, though the manual states 3 levels, it implies 4 distinct settings). The default speed is level 2.
- To Increase Speed: Press and hold the [OK] button + [Volume +] button for approximately 3 seconds. The work indicator will flash quickly and then turn off. Release the buttons, and the CPI will increase by 1 level.
- To Decrease Speed: Press and hold the [OK] button + [Volume -] button for approximately 3 seconds. The work indicator will flash quickly and then turn off. Release the buttons, and the CPI will decrease by 1 level.
5.4 Fn Key Function
The [Fn] key is used to access the red character functions printed on the keyboard. Press [Fn] once to activate these functions (the Fn indicator lights up). Press [Fn] again to switch back to the default functions (the Fn indicator goes out).
5.5 Backlight Control
The M5 Air Mouse features a 7-color backlit keyboard (on the M5-Backlit version).

7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your MRSVI M5 Air Mouse, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- Device not responding: Ensure the device is charged. Check the red indicator for low battery. If using 2.4G mode, ensure the USB receiver is properly plugged in and recognized. If using Bluetooth mode, ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your host device and the remote is paired.
- 2.4G Pairing Failure: If the mouse cursor does not move after plugging in the USB receiver, try manual pairing by holding [OK] + [BACK] until the LED flashes, then release.
- Bluetooth Pairing Failure: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your host device. Try re-entering pairing mode on the remote by holding [OK] + [Home] until the LED flashes quickly. If issues persist, delete any previous M5 connections from your host device's Bluetooth settings and attempt to pair again.
- Air Mouse Function Not Working: Some multimedia devices may not fully support the air mouse function. If the [OK] button or other air mouse controls are unresponsive, try turning the air mouse function OFF and ON again using the dedicated button.
- Keyboard Input Issues: Ensure the remote is flipped to the keyboard side. If special characters are not working, check if the [Fn] key is active (Fn indicator ON).
- Backlight Not Working: For the M5-Backlit version, ensure the device is charged. Press [Fn] + [Space] to cycle through backlight colors or turn it on.
- Cursor Speed Too Fast/Slow: Adjust the CPI settings using [OK] + [Volume +] to increase speed or [OK] + [Volume -] to decrease speed.
8. User Tips
- Optimal Charging: Always use a 5V2A charger for optimal charging. If the battery is completely depleted, charge for at least 2 hours.
- Bluetooth Re-pairing: If you switch the M5 Air Mouse between multiple devices using Bluetooth, remember that it only stores one pairing history. You might need to delete the old pairing from your device's Bluetooth settings before re-pairing with a new one.
- Backlight Feature: The 7-color backlight is available on the 'M5-Backlit' version. If you purchased the 'M5-Standard' version, this feature will not be present.
- Compatibility Check: For specific Smart TV models (e.g., Samsung UN50NU7100G series) or streaming devices (e.g., Fire Stick, Roku), while generally compatible with Android/Linux systems, some advanced features or specific app controls might vary. Test both 2.4G (with USB dongle) and Bluetooth modes to see which offers better functionality for your specific setup.
