5. Setup
5.1 Physical Installation & Wiring
The module features two input ports for power supply (USB 5V or screw terminal AC 85-250V / AC/DC 7-32V) and passive output (dry contact) terminals (NO, NC, COM).
Important Note on Passive Output (Dry Contact):
- The relay output is a dry contact, meaning it does not supply voltage.
- Regardless of the power supplied to the input, the output terminals (NO, NC, COM) will not have the same voltage.
- You must supply external power to the connected device through the output terminals for it to function. The input power only powers the PCB board itself.

Wiring for Garage Door Opener
This module can be used to control garage doors by providing a pulse signal to the garage door opener's wall button terminals.

5.2 App Installation
- Download the Ewelink app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
- Register or log in to your Ewelink account.

5.3 Device Pairing (Wi-Fi)
- Ensure your phone is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. The module does not support 5GHz Wi-Fi.
- Power on the Smart Relay Module.
- Open the Ewelink app and tap 'Add Device' or the '+' icon.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to put the device into pairing mode (usually by pressing and holding the 'Match button' on the PCB until the network indicator blinks).
- The app will search for and discover the device. Confirm the device and complete the pairing process.

5.4 Device Pairing (RF 433MHz Remote)
- Press the 'RF pairing button' on the module's PCB.
- Press a button on your 433MHz RF remote control.
- The RF pairing indicator on the module will confirm successful pairing.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Working Modes
The module supports two working modes: Inching and Self-locking. You can switch between these modes using the 'Mode switch button' on the PCB.
- Inching Mode: When a channel is switched on, it will automatically close after a set duration (default 0.7 seconds). This is ideal for momentary actions like opening a garage door or gate.
- Self-locking Mode: Each channel can be switched on or off independently and will remain in that state until changed. You can also turn all channels on/off simultaneously.
Changing Inching Time
To change the inching time (range: 2-3600 seconds), you must first switch the module to Self-locking mode using the mode button. Then, you can adjust the inching time within the Ewelink app. The adjusted inching time will only apply when the module is in Inching mode.

6.2 App Remote Control
Once paired, you can control your connected appliances from anywhere using the Ewelink app on your Android or iOS smartphone.
- On/Off Control: Tap the power icon in the app to toggle the connected device.
- Timing & Scheduling: Set one-time, countdown, or loop timers to automate device operation.
- Scene Linkage: Group multiple smart devices to control them simultaneously with a single command or schedule.

6.3 Voice Control
Integrate the module with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant for hands-free control.
- Link your Ewelink account to your Alexa or Google Home app.
- Discover devices.
- Use voice commands such as: "Alexa, turn on the garage door" or "Hey Google, turn off the living room light."

6.4 RF Remote Control
If you have paired a 433MHz RF remote control, you can use it to control the module directly.

7. User Tips
- Dry Contact Output: Remember that the relay provides a dry contact output. This means it acts like a switch, not a power source. You will need to provide power to the device you are controlling separately. For example, when controlling a garage door, you connect the module to the opener's control terminals, which typically expect a momentary contact closure.
- Wi-Fi Compatibility: Always ensure your router is configured for 2.4GHz Wi-Fi during the pairing process, as the module does not support 5GHz networks. If you have a dual-band router, temporarily disable the 5GHz band or ensure your phone is connected to the 2.4GHz band.
- Inching Mode for Garage Doors: The inching mode is particularly useful for garage doors or gate openers, as it provides a brief signal to trigger the open/close mechanism without holding the circuit closed.
8. Troubleshooting
- Device not pairing:
- Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. The module does not support 5GHz.
- Check if the module is powered on and the network indicator is blinking as per pairing instructions.
- Move the module closer to your Wi-Fi router.
- Restart your router and try again. - Connected device not responding:
- Verify that the module is correctly wired and receiving power.
- Confirm that the connected appliance has its own power supply, as the module's output is a dry contact (passive).
- Check the working mode (Inching/Self-locking) to ensure it matches your intended operation. - RF remote not working:
- Ensure the remote control has a working 23A 12V battery (not included).
- Re-pair the RF remote with the module by pressing the 'RF pairing button' on the module and then a button on the remote. - Voice control not working:
- Confirm that your Ewelink account is correctly linked to your Alexa or Google Home app.
- Ensure the device is discovered and named appropriately in the voice assistant app.
9. Maintenance
- Keep the device clean and dry.
- Avoid exposing the module to extreme temperatures or humidity.
- Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the module yourself, as this may void the warranty and pose safety risks.
10. Warranty & Support
This product comes with a 1-year warranty from the date of purchase. For support or warranty claims, please contact the seller or manufacturer directly. Please retain your proof of purchase.
