5. Maintenance
- Keep the device dry. Moisture can damage the electronic components.
- Avoid extreme temperatures. High temperatures can shorten the life of electronic devices, damage batteries, and warp or melt certain plastics.
- Do not use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents, or strong detergents to clean the device. Wipe it with a soft, damp cloth.
- Handle with care. Do not drop, knock, or shake the device. Rough handling can break internal circuit boards and fine mechanics.
- Ensure proper ventilation if enclosing the module in a casing.
6. Troubleshooting
- Device not powering on: Ensure the 3.7V Li-polymer battery is correctly soldered and charged. Check the charging cable and power source.
- No signal (Yellow LED solid): Verify the NANO SIM card is correctly inserted and has an active 2G/4G data plan. Check network coverage in the area.
- No GPS signal (Blue LED solid): Ensure the external GPS antenna is properly connected. Move the device to an open outdoor area for better GPS reception. GPS positioning time can vary based on environmental factors.
- Inaccurate location: Positioning accuracy depends on the mode (GPS, Wi-Fi, LBS, 4G). GPS is most accurate outdoors (within 10m). Wi-Fi positioning is within 50m, and GSM/4G positioning is 50-200m depending on network conditions.
- App login issues: Double-check the IMEI number and password. Remember the default password is the last 6 digits of the IMEI.
- App is not free: The '365gps' app is generally free to download and use. If prompted for payment, ensure you are using the official app.
7. User Tips
- Battery Installation: Remember that a 3.7V battery needs to be soldered to the module before use, as it does not work without one. An 800mAh battery can provide power for approximately one week.
- Location Accuracy & Delay: While locations are generally accurate, there might be a slight delay in real-time updates. This is normal for GPS tracking devices.
- Network Compatibility: Before purchasing or using, confirm that your local telecom operator supports the specified 2G (B3/B5/B8) and 4G (LTE-FDD: B1/B3/B5/B7/B8/B20, LTE-TDD: B34/B38/B39/B40/B41) bands for optimal performance.
- App Features: Explore all features within the '365gps' app, such as remote power-off/restart and intelligent power saving, to maximize convenience and battery life.
