- Clean the area on your windshield where you intend to mount the dashcam. Ensure it does not obstruct your view.
- Peel off the protective film from the adhesive pad on the dashcam mount.
- Firmly press the dashcam onto the chosen spot on the windshield.
- Connect the original car charger with GPS to the dashcam's Type-C port and plug the other end into your car's cigarette lighter socket.

3.2 Rear Camera Installation (Optional)
If your package includes a rearview camera, follow these steps for installation:
- Plug the rear camera cable into the AV port on the main dashcam unit.
- Carefully route the rear camera cable along the vehicle's interior trim to the rear window.
- Mount the rear camera on the rear window inside the car using the provided double-sided adhesive pad. Ensure the lens has a clear view.
- For reversing assistance, connect the red wire of the rear camera cable to the positive (+) pole of your car's reversing light. This allows the dashcam to display the rear view with parking guidelines when reversing.

3.3 Buck Line Installation for 24H Parking Monitoring (Optional)
To enable 24-hour parking monitoring, a buck line (hardwire kit) is required. This connects the dashcam directly to your car's fuse box, providing continuous power even when the engine is off.
Attention:
- The DVR is only compatible with cars that have a 12V power supply. A 24V power supply will burn the motherboard. If you want to use 24V, please add a 24V to 12V Converter.
- Professional installation is recommended for buck line wiring.
- Locate your car's fuse box.
- Identify two fuse slots: one that provides constant power (always on) and one that provides power only when the ignition is in the ACC position (accessory power).
- Connect the RED wire of the buck line to the constant power fuse slot.
- Connect the YELLOW wire of the buck line to the ACC power fuse slot.
- Connect the BLACK wire to a grounding screw or bolt on the car's chassis.
- Connect the buck line's output to the dashcam's power input.

4.5 Recording Features
- Loop Recording: The dashcam continuously records video in short segments (e.g., 1, 3, or 5 minutes). When the memory card is full, it automatically overwrites the oldest unlocked footage.
- G-Sensor: In the event of a sudden impact or emergency braking, the G-Sensor detects the event and automatically locks the current video file, preventing it from being overwritten.
- Motion Detection: When enabled, the dashcam will automatically start recording if it detects movement in front of the vehicle while parked. Recording stops when no motion is detected.
- WDR (Wide Dynamic Range): This feature helps balance exposure, ensuring clear video quality in scenes with high contrast, such as entering or exiting a tunnel, or driving against bright sunlight.

Figure 15: Recording Features Explained
4.6 24H Parking Monitor
With the optional buck line installed, the 24H Parking Monitor provides continuous surveillance. It can operate in Time-Lapse mode for around-the-clock recording or G-Sensor mode to record only when motion or impact is detected.
5. Maintenance
5.1 Memory Card Management
- Required Card Type: Always use a high-quality Class 10 Micro SD Card. Low-quality or low-speed cards may cause recording issues.
- Capacity: Supports 16GB to 512GB Micro SD cards.
- Formatting: Regularly format the memory card (e.g., once a month) to maintain optimal performance and prevent data corruption. This can usually be done through the dashcam's settings via the app.
5.2 Cleaning
- Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the dashcam's lens and screen.
- Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the device.
- Ensure the camera lens is clean for clear video recording.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your E-ACE 4K Dashcam, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause / Solution |
|---|---|
| Dashcam does not power on. | Ensure the car charger is properly connected and the vehicle's power outlet is functioning. Check if the car's power supply is 12V (24V requires a converter). |
| Recording is choppy or freezes. | Use a high-quality Class 10 Micro SD card. Lower class cards cannot handle 4K video data rates. Format the memory card regularly. |
| Wi-Fi connection issues. | Ensure the dashcam is in Wi-Fi mode (displaying QR code). Check your phone's Wi-Fi settings and connect to the dashcam's network. The default Wi-Fi password is usually '12345678' or found in the manual. |
| GPS data not recording or inaccurate. | Ensure the GPS car charger is used and properly connected. The dashcam needs a clear view of the sky for optimal GPS signal reception. |
| 24H Parking Monitor not working. | Verify that the optional buck line is correctly installed and wired to constant and ACC power sources in the fuse box. |
| Rear camera not displaying or recording. | Ensure the rear camera cable is securely plugged into the dashcam's AV port. Only original E-ACE rear cameras are guaranteed to be compatible. |
| Dashcam does not have a visible menu for settings. | Most settings and controls are managed through the 'Viidure' smartphone app. The physical buttons on the dashcam are primarily for basic functions like power, display mode switching, and emergency recording. |

8. User Tips
- Wi-Fi Password: If prompted for a Wi-Fi code, check the user manual or the dashcam's display when in Wi-Fi mode. Common default passwords are '12345678'.
- No Physical Menu: Most advanced settings, such as formatting the SD card or changing language, are accessed and controlled through the 'Viidure' smartphone application, not directly on the dashcam's small screen.
- Adhesive Film: The dashcam comes with an electrostatic sticker or adhesive film for mounting. Ensure the windshield is clean before application for a secure hold.
- Buck Line Details: The buck line typically has a standard length (not specified in provided data, but generally sufficient for routing). It uses standard automotive fuses. The power connector on the dashcam is Type-C. The rear camera is powered from the dashcam itself, not directly from the backup light, though the backup light connection is for triggering the display of parking guidelines.
- Operating Temperature: While not explicitly stated, dashcams are generally designed to operate within typical automotive temperature ranges. Avoid extreme heat or cold for prolonged periods.
