1. Introduction

The Swipower SP Power series pure sine wave inverter is designed to convert 12/24/48VDC to 220/230/240VAC (or 100V/110V/120VAC). It features an industrial design with a wide operating temperature range, high reliability, and high efficiency. Its simple appearance and lightweight design make it easy to install and operate, making it ideal for solar system applications, household emergency lighting systems, vehicle-mounted systems, and small field power supplies.

Features:

  • Safe design with input and output electrical isolation.
  • Adoption of advanced SPWM technology, providing a pure sine wave output.
  • LED & LCD indicators for fault status and working status.
  • Lower No-load consumption.
  • Maximum efficiency up to 95%.
  • Input protection: Over voltage protection, low voltage protection.
  • Output protection: Overload protection, short circuit protection.
  • Over-temperature protection: Temperature-controlled Fan Ventilation; Inverter turns off automatically when overheating.

Bluetooth Control Overview:

The inverter supports Bluetooth control, allowing for real-time monitoring and control via a mobile application on Android or iOS devices. This enables detailed detection of inverter operation data and timely control of the switch to save power.

2. Important Safety Instructions

As an AC power supply equipment, the inverter's AC output should be treated with caution. There is a risk of electric shock if not handled properly. Please note the following:

Attentions:

  • Connect the DC input strictly according to the requirements. Too high or too low DC input may damage the inverter.
  • A reverse polarity connection will blow the fuses in the inverter and damage the unit.
  • Do not expose the inverter to a humid, flammable, explosive, or dusty environment.
  • Keep the inverter out of children's reach.
  • It is recommended to connect the inverter input terminal to the battery. Calculate the minimum battery capacity (in AH) as: 5 times the rated power of the inverter divided by the battery voltage. For testing, use a DC power supply with current at least twice the inverter's rated input. Using an unsuitable DC power supply for testing may damage the inverter.
  • When the inverter works continuously, its surface may become very hot. Ensure air ventilation clearance of more than 10cm around the inverter. Keep away from materials or devices sensitive to high temperatures. Do not install the inverter in an airproof location.
  • Connect the protective grounding to the ground. The cross-section of the wire should not be less than 4mm².
  • The wire connection between the battery and the inverter should be less than 3m, and the current density should be less than 3.5A/mm². If the wire length exceeds 3m, reduce the current density.
  • A fuse or breaker, with a value twice the inverter's rated input current, should be used between the battery and the inverter.
  • Do not connect the battery charger or similar devices to the inverter's input terminal.
  • Do not place the inverter close to flooded lead-acid batteries, as terminal sparks may ignite hydrogen released by the battery.
  • This is an off-grid inverter. Do not connect the AC output terminals to the grid or electrical source; otherwise, the inverter may be damaged.
  • This inverter can only be used singly in parallel connections. Series connection will damage the inverters.
  • Risk of electric shock: Do not touch the output port when the inverter is working. The output is forbidden to connect to other power sources or grids. The inverter must be turned off when connecting the load.
  • Do not attempt to repair the fault inverter yourself; contact the manufacturer's engineer for assistance.
  • SP power series is suitable for civil applications only, not for industrial applications.

Operating Sequence:

  1. Switch on the input breaker or the fuse between the inverter and battery; then turn on the power switch to start the inverter. If the blue indicator is ON, turn on the loads one by one. Check the operation state of the inverter and loads.
  2. If there are different loads, turn on the loads with higher startup current first (e.g., television). After these loads work stably, turn on loads with lower startup current (e.g., an incandescent lamp).
  3. If the Fault indicator is red and the buzzer alarms when turning on devices, immediately switch off the loads and the inverter.

6. Maintenance

The following inspections and maintenance tasks are recommended at least two times per year for best performance:

  • Ensure no block on airflow around the inverter. Clear any dirt and fragments on the radiator.
  • Check all naked wires to ensure insulation is not damaged by solarization, frictional wear, dryness, insects, or rats. Repair or replace any damaged wires.
  • Check and confirm that indicators and displays are consistent with requirements. Pay attention to any troubleshooting or error indications and take corrective action if necessary.
  • Confirm that all terminals have no corrosion, insulation damage, high temperature, or burnt/discolored signs. Tighten terminal screws to the suggested torque.
  • Check for dirt, nesting insects, and corrosion. Clear them promptly if found.
  • Check and confirm that the lightning arrester is in good condition. Replace it if necessary to avoid damaging the inverter/charger and other equipment.

WARNING: Risk of electric shock!

Before performing any of the above operations, ensure that all power is turned off. The electricity in the capacitance must be completely discharged before proceeding with inspections.
