8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your projector, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • No Power: Ensure the power cable is securely connected to both the projector and a working power outlet. Check if the power adapter is functioning correctly.
  • Blurry Image: Use the electric focus function via the remote control to adjust the image clarity. Ensure the projection surface is flat and the projector is within the recommended projection distance.
  • Distorted Image (Trapezoid Shape): The projector has automatic keystone correction. If the image is still distorted, manually adjust keystone settings in Settings > Projection Setting > Keystone Correction.
  • No Wi-Fi Connection: Verify that Wi-Fi is enabled in Settings > Networking Setting and that you have entered the correct password for your network. Ensure the projector is within range of your Wi-Fi router.
  • Screen Mirroring Not Working: For Miracast (Android) and Airplay (iPhone), ensure both your mobile device and the projector are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Follow the specific steps for Miracast or Airplay in the Operating Instructions section.
  • No Sound: Check the volume settings on both the projector and the connected source device. If using external speakers, ensure they are properly connected and powered on.
  • No Signal from HDMI/USB: Ensure the cable is securely connected to both the projector and the source device. Select the correct input source (HDMI or USB) from the projector's menu.
  • Netflix/Streaming App Issues: Some streaming apps may have compatibility restrictions on projectors. Ensure the app is updated to the latest version. If direct app usage is not possible, consider using screen mirroring from a compatible device or connecting a streaming stick via HDMI.

9. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your projector:

  • Cleaning the Lens: Use a soft, lint-free cloth specifically designed for optical lenses. Do not use abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals.
  • Cleaning Vents: Regularly check and clean the air inlet and outlet vents to prevent dust buildup, which can hinder cooling and lead to overheating. Use a soft brush or compressed air.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the projector in a cool, dry, and dust-free environment. Use the lens protective cover to prevent scratches.
  • Power Off Properly: Always power off the projector using the designated button and allow it to cool down before unplugging or moving.

10. User Tips

  • Netflix Compatibility: While the projector runs Android, some users report issues with Netflix on certain projector models. If you experience this, try updating the Netflix app or consider using screen mirroring from a phone/tablet, or connecting a dedicated streaming device via HDMI.
  • iPhone Mirroring: Yes, the projector is compatible with iPhones via Airplay. Ensure both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network and follow the Airplay instructions in Section 6.8.
  • Ceiling Mounting: The projector includes a standard 1/4 inch screw hole on its base, making it compatible with most universal projector ceiling mounts or tripods.
  • Optimal Viewing Distance: For the best experience, aim for a projection distance between 1.2 to 4 meters, which yields a screen size of 40 to 130 inches.
