1. Introduction

The REVASRI NK-1000 Laser Rangefinder is a versatile and precise optical instrument designed for accurate distance, angle, height, and speed measurements. It is suitable for various applications including hunting, golfing, outdoor travel, electricity surveys, and building construction. When powered off, the device functions as a precision optical telescope. This rangefinder features a safe Class 1 laser (905nm, <1mW) and a rechargeable lithium battery with a Type-C charging port.

2. Safety Information

Please read all safety warnings and instructions carefully before using this product.

  • Laser Safety: This device uses a Class 1 laser (905nm, <1mW), which is safe for human eyes under normal operating conditions. However, do not view the laser emissions for long periods of time with magnified lenses.
  • Battery and Charging: Use only standard batteries and charging methods. Ensure proper charging to avoid damage.
  • Temperature: Do not store or operate the device outside the temperature range of -20°C to 50°C.
  • Sunlight Exposure: Avoid direct sunlight exposure to the eyepiece to prevent damage to the display or internal components. Always store the device in its protective case when not in use.
  • Automatic Shut-off: The device will automatically power off if there is no operation within 30 seconds to conserve battery.
  • Operation: Avoid repeatedly pressing the power button in quick succession.
  • Minimum Measurement Distance: The rangefinder is designed for long-distance measurements, with a minimum effective measurement distance of 5 meters.
  • Environmental Factors: Rain, fog, and dusty conditions can obstruct laser transmission and affect the maximum measurement distance and accuracy.
  • Glass Surfaces: Glass can reflect the laser beam and interfere with measurement results. Do not measure through glass.
  • Eyepiece Display: The eyepiece display is not illuminated. Additional lighting may be required to view readings in low-light conditions at night.

3.2. In-view LCD Display Elements

The in-view LCD display provides various measurement data and indicators:

  • Angle: Displays the measured angle.
  • Target Indicator: Indicates the target object and the laser emission position.
  • Straight Line Distance: The direct distance from the rangefinder to the target object.
  • Vertical Height (M/Y High): The vertical distance to the target.
  • Horizontal Distance (M/Y Level): The horizontal distance to the target.
  • Speed (SP): Displays the speed of a moving target (in Km/h).
  • Flagpole Indicator: Appears in Golf Mode when a flagpole is locked.
  • Recommended Hitting Distance: Displays the slope-compensated distance in Golf Mode.
  • Battery Indicator: Displays when the battery is low.
  • Group Number: Indicates the stored measurement group in Storage Function.

4. Setup

4.1. Initial Charging

Before first use, ensure the rangefinder is fully charged. Connect the provided Type-C USB cable to the USB charging port on the device and to a suitable power source. A red indicator light will show during charging and turn off when fully charged.

4.2. Focusing the Eyepiece

To achieve a clear view, rotate the eyepiece lens (component ③) until the display and target appear sharp and in focus. This adjustment is crucial for accurate readings, especially if you wear eyeglasses.

4.3. Switching Measurement Units (Yards/Meters)

The device defaults to Yards (Y). To switch between Yards (Y) and Meters (M):

  1. Ensure the device is powered on.
  2. Press and hold both the Power Button and the Mode Button simultaneously for 3-5 seconds.
  3. The unit displayed on the screen will change.

4.4. Angle Calibration

If the angle measurement appears inaccurate, the device needs calibration. Perform this on a horizontal platform or a tripod with an adjusted horizontal angle.

  1. Power on the device.
  2. Long press the Mode Button. The angle display will flash.
  3. Release the Mode Button.
  4. Long press the Mode Button again to initiate calibration. The angle will continue flashing.
  5. Press the Mode Button once to finish calibration. The angle of the device should now read 0°0 under horizontal status.

5. Operating Modes

The REVASRI NK-1000 features 7 distinct operating modes. Press the Mode Button to cycle through them.

5.1. Mode 1: Ranging Mode (Single Ranging)

Measures the straight-line distance from the rangefinder to a single target.

  1. Power on the device.
  2. Aim at the target.
  3. Press the Power Button to measure. The data will be displayed on the screen.

5.2. Mode 2: All-in-one Mode

Measures straight-line distance, angle, vertical distance, and horizontal distance simultaneously for a single target.

  1. Power on the device.
  2. Press the Mode Button to select All-in-one Mode.
  3. Aim at the target.
  4. Press the Power Button to measure. All relevant data will be displayed.

5.3. Mode 3: Scanning Mode

Allows continuous measurement of multiple targets by scanning. Angle, height, horizontal, and straight-line distance will update continuously as you scan across different targets.

  1. Power on the device.
  2. Press the Mode Button to select Scanning Mode.
  3. Aim at the target area.
  4. Press and hold the Power Button while scanning across multiple targets. The display will update in real-time.

5.4. Mode 4: Two Point Height Measurement Mode

Measures the vertical height difference between two distinct targets.

  1. Power on the device.
  2. Press the Mode Button to select Two Point Height Measurement Mode.
  3. Aim at the first target (e.g., the top of an object).
  4. Press the Power Button to measure.
  5. Aim at the second target (e.g., the bottom of the same object).
  6. Press the Power Button again to measure. The straight-line distance, horizontal distance to the second point, and the height difference between the two points will be displayed.

5.5. Mode 5: Speed Measurement Mode

Measures the speed of a target object moving in radial motion (towards or away from the rangefinder). Note: The speed of objects moving parallel to the rangefinder cannot be measured accurately.

  1. Power on the device.
  2. Press the Mode Button to select Speed Measurement Mode.
  3. Aim at the moving target.
  4. Press the Power Button. The laser indicator will flash, and the device will enter continuous measurement state to obtain the speed data.

5.6. Mode 6: Golf Distance Compensation Mode (Slope Adjusted)

Provides slope-compensated distances for golf, helping to determine the effective playing distance. When the slope is positive, the play distance will be greater than the sight distance. When the slope is negative, the play distance will be less than the sight distance.

  1. Power on the device.
  2. Press the Mode Button to select Golf Mode.
  3. Aim at the slope/background behind the flagpole.
  4. Long press the Power Button to enter scanning mode.
  5. Slowly move the target indicator from the background to the flagpole. Once the flagpole is successfully locked, the rangefinder will vibrate and display the suggested hitting distance.

5.7. Mode 7: Data Storage Function

The device can store up to 10 measurement records. Measurements cannot be taken while in storage mode.

  1. Power on the device.
  2. Press the Mode Button to switch to the storage function. The display will show "Lb".
  3. Press the Power Button continuously to view the previous 10 sets of measurement data.
  4. To exit storage mode and resume normal operation, press the Mode Button to switch to another measurement mode.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use the provided lens cleaning cloth to gently wipe the objective and eyepiece lenses. Do not use abrasive materials or harsh chemicals.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the rangefinder in its protective case to prevent dust, scratches, and exposure to direct sunlight or extreme temperatures.
  • Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Recharge as needed.
  • Environmental Protection: Keep the device away from water and excessive humidity, although it is rain-proof, prolonged exposure is not recommended.

8. Troubleshooting

Q: Why can't I get a reading?
A: The minimum effective range of this device is 5 meters. If you are attempting to measure objects closer than 5 meters, through glass, or if the target is outside its specified range (5-1000M/Yards), it may not display a distance. Ensure there are no obstructions like glass between the rangefinder and the target.
Q: Why do readings sometimes seem inaccurate?
A: Environmental factors such as rain, fog, strong sunlight, or heavy dust can interfere with the laser's transmission and affect measurement accuracy. For small objects, ensure you are aiming directly at the target and not at something in the background. Complex vegetation can also obstruct laser signals.
Q: The eyepiece display is dark at night.
A: The in-view LCD display is not illuminated. For night use or in low-light conditions, additional external lighting will be required to view the readings.
Q: The device automatically shuts off too quickly.
A: The device has an intelligent energy-saving mode and will automatically shut down if there is no operation for 30 seconds. This is normal behavior to conserve battery life.

9. User Tips

  • Optimal Target Selection: For best results and maximum measurement distance, especially in challenging conditions, aim at light-colored buildings or reflective surfaces. Avoid dense vegetation if possible, as it can scatter laser signals.
  • Mode Memory: The rangefinder remembers the last mode used before shutting down, making it convenient for quick restarts in your preferred setting.
  • Laser Safety Reminder: While the laser is eye-safe (Class 1), avoid prolonged direct viewing through magnified optics to prevent any potential eye strain or discomfort.
