Water Resistance
The SKMEI 1257 watch is rated for 50 meters (5Bar) water resistance. This means it is suitable for daily use, including washing hands, being in the rain, and swimming. It is not recommended for hot water activities like showering with hot water or diving, as steam and pressure changes can compromise the seals.

The watch is designed to be 50M waterproof, suitable for swimming.

Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the watch regularly with a soft, dry cloth to remove dirt and sweat. For silicone bands, a mild soap and water solution can be used, then rinse thoroughly and dry.
- Avoid Chemicals: Keep the watch away from solvents, detergents, perfumes, and cosmetics, as these can damage the case, band, or seals.
- Temperature Extremes: Avoid exposing the watch to extreme hot or cold temperatures, as this can affect battery life and accuracy.
- Water Resistance: Do not operate buttons while the watch is submerged in water to prevent water ingress. Ensure the watch is completely dry before pressing buttons after water exposure.
- Battery Replacement: When the display dims or functions become erratic, it may be time to replace the battery. It is recommended to have this done by a professional watch repair service to ensure the water resistance seal is properly maintained.
Troubleshooting
- Blank Display: If the display is blank, the battery may be depleted. Replace the battery.
- Buttons Not Responding: Ensure the watch is not in a locked mode (if applicable, though this model does not specify one). Try pressing all buttons firmly. If unresponsive, a battery issue or internal fault may be present.
- Inaccurate Time: Re-set the time according to the 'Setup' section. If the time continues to be inaccurate, the battery may be low, or the watch may require servicing.
- Water Inside Display: If condensation or water appears inside the watch, stop using it immediately and have it inspected by a professional. This indicates a compromised water seal.
User Tips
- The EL backlight is very useful in dark environments. A quick press of the LIGHT button will illuminate the display.
- Utilize the dual time function when traveling or communicating with people in different time zones.
- Remember to press the START/STOP button to pause the chronograph before pressing RESET to clear it, otherwise, you might accidentally stop and then immediately reset without seeing the final time.
- While the watch is 50M water resistant, avoid pressing buttons underwater to maintain the integrity of the seals.
