Setup Instructions

Setting Time and Date

  1. In normal time display mode, press the MODE button repeatedly until the time setting mode is activated (usually indicated by flashing digits).
  2. Use the RESET button to cycle through the settings (seconds, hour, minute, month, date, day of week, 12/24 hour format).
  3. Use the START/STOP button to adjust the flashing digit or setting.
  4. Once all settings are correct, press the MODE button to exit the setting mode and return to normal time display.

Setting the Alarm

  1. From normal time display, press the MODE button until you reach the Alarm mode.
  2. Press the START/STOP button to activate the alarm setting (digits will flash).
  3. Use the RESET button to select between hour and minute settings.
  4. Use the START/STOP button to adjust the hour or minute.
  5. Press the MODE button to confirm and exit alarm setting.
  6. To turn the alarm ON/OFF, in Alarm mode, press the START/STOP button. An alarm icon will appear/disappear on the display.

Setting the Countdown Timer

  1. From normal time display, press the MODE button until you reach the Countdown Timer mode.
  2. Press the START/STOP button to activate the countdown setting (digits will flash).
  3. Use the RESET button to select between hour, minute, and second settings.
  4. Use the START/STOP button to adjust the desired countdown time.
  5. Press the MODE button to confirm and exit countdown setting.
  6. To start/stop the countdown, press the START/STOP button. To reset, press the RESET button while the timer is stopped.

Operating Instructions

Using the Stopwatch (Chronograph)

  1. From normal time display, press the MODE button until you reach the Stopwatch mode.
  2. Press the START/STOP button to start the stopwatch.
  3. Press the START/STOP button again to stop the stopwatch.
  4. Press the RESET button to clear the stopwatch to zero.
  5. To record split times, press RESET while the stopwatch is running. The display will show the split time. Press RESET again to return to the running stopwatch.

Activating the EL Backlight

Press the LIGHT button to illuminate the watch face. The backlight will remain active for a few seconds.

Dual Time Zone Function

The watch supports a second time zone display. To access and set it:

  1. Press the MODE button until you reach the "2 Time" mode (often indicated by "T2" or similar on the display).
  2. In this mode, you can set a separate time, useful for travel or tracking another time zone. The setting procedure is similar to the main time setting.

Water Resistance (50M / 5 Bar)

The SKMEI 1999 watch is water-resistant up to 50 meters (5 Bar). This means it is suitable for daily use, including hand washing, showering, and swimming in shallow water. However, it is NOT recommended for diving or prolonged underwater activities. Do NOT press any buttons while the watch is wet or submerged, as this can compromise the water resistance seals.

Maintenance
