The XP-80T is a high-speed thermal printer designed for various applications such as POS systems, kitchen printing, and personal work management.

5. Setup
5.1 Physical Connections
- Connect the AC power cord to the power adapter, then connect the DC power cord from the adapter to the printer.
- Connect the printer to your computer or tablet using the appropriate data cable (USB or Ethernet).
- Connect the cash drawer to the printer's cashbox interface if applicable.
5.2 Driver Installation

For Mac systems, please contact Xprinter support for assistance.
When installing the driver, if using an Ethernet interface, choose the Ethernet option and input the printer's IP address. After successful driver installation, you can print via WiFi.
5.3 Paper Roll Loading
It is recommended to use 80mm thermal paper rolls for 80mm series printers.
- Open the top cover of the printer.
- Drop the paper roll into the designated compartment as shown in the diagram.
- Close the top cover, ensuring the paper feeds smoothly.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Button Functions and LED Indicators
- FEED button: Press this button to manually feed paper.
- Paper indicator (LED):
- Blue and red light on: Indicates lack of paper.
- No alarm: All functions are operating correctly.
- Power indicator: Light is on when the printer is connected properly to power.
- Error button: When out of paper, cutter error, or printing head overheat occurs, the ALARM indicator will twinkle.
6.2 Self-Test
To perform a self-test:
- Ensure the printer is connected to power and turned off.
- Press and hold the «FEED» button.
- While holding «FEED», turn on the printer.
- After approximately 2 seconds, release the «FEED» button. A completed self-test page will print, showing the printer settings.
6.3 Hexadecimal Mode
To enter hexadecimal dump mode:
- Ensure the printer is connected to power and turned off.
- Press and hold the «FEED» button.
- While holding «FEED», turn on the printer.
- After approximately 10 seconds, release the «FEED» button. The printer will print "Hexadecimal Dump" on the paper.
6.4 Bluetooth Connection (Android/iOS)
- Turn on the printer and load paper.
- For Android:
- Go to phone settings, turn on Bluetooth, and search for Bluetooth printers.
- Click on "Printer001" (or similar) and enter pairing password "0000". Complete pairing.
- Open your POS App (e.g., Loyverse POS, Zobaze POS).
- Enter the software printer settings and select Bluetooth printing.
- Search for Bluetooth printers in the POS app and click on the name of the already paired Bluetooth printer.
- Print a test page or receipt to confirm successful connection.
- For iOS:
- Open the POS APP on your iOS device (no need to pair in phone settings).
- Enter the POS APP settings and select Bluetooth printing.
- Search for Bluetooth printers and click on the name of the Bluetooth printer found.
6.5 WiFi Setting
Step 1: Check Printer Mode (AP or STA)
- Print the 'selftest' page (see 6.2 Self-Test) to check if the printer is in AP mode or STA mode.
- If it is in STA mode, it needs to be converted to AP mode first:
- Press and hold the FEED key, then turn on the printer power.
- After the printer prints the selftest page and WIFI select option, press "Feed" key once.
- The printer will print AP/STA mode choose. Press "Feed" key once more to set the printer to AP mode.
Step 2: Connect to Printer Hotspot (AP Mode)
In AP mode, the printer acts as a hotspot with SSID: "Printer", Key: "open", and AP IP: 10.10.100.254. Connect your mobile device or computer to this hotspot.
Step 3: Configure STA Mode via Web Interface
- In your mobile browser, enter the IP address:
10.10.100.254. - Log in with username:
adminand password:admin. - Choose the "STA Setting" option.
- Click the "Scan" button to find available Wi-Fi networks.
- Select your LAN WiFi SSID from the list and input the password.
- Click "Save" and then "Restart" button.
Step 4: Verify Printer IP
Print the 'selftest' page again to check the new printer IP address assigned in STA mode.
6.6 Printing via Port Directly
If you are printing directly via a port (e.g., USB, LAN, Serial, Parallel) without a printer driver, you can choose the appropriate port in your software. Printing via ports typically requires commands (ESC/POS commands are integrated directly) to control the printer.
7. Maintenance
7.1 Cutter Stuck Maintenance
If the auto cutter gets stuck:
- Method 1: Turn off the power and then restart the printer.
- Method 2: Manually turn the gear on the printing head. The cutter should return to its original position.
Note: To avoid damage to the printing head and automatic paper cutter, please do not open the cutter and mechanism violently.
7.2 Printing Head Cleaning
Clean the printing head if you observe:
- Printing is not clear.
- Any vertical column is not clear.
- Paper feeds noisily.
Cleaning Steps:
- Turn the printer off, release the power cord, and open the top cover. Take out the paper roll.
- Wait until the printing head cools down if it just finished printing.
- Clean the printing head completely using a swab with alcohol (without water).
- Until the alcohol completely volatilizes, close the top cover.
- Connect power again and print a self-test to check if it is clean.

- Please make sure power is off when maintaining the printer.
- Do not touch or scratch the printing head surface, roller, and sensors.
- Avoid gas, acetone, or other organic solvents.

8. Troubleshooting
- Printer not responding: Check power connection, data cable connection, and ensure the printer is turned on. Perform a self-test.
- Poor print quality: Clean the print head as described in Section 7.2. Ensure you are using high-quality thermal paper.
- Paper jam: Follow the cutter stuck maintenance steps in Section 7.1. Ensure paper is loaded correctly and not creased.
- Connectivity issues (USB/LAN): Verify cable connections. For LAN, check IP settings and network configuration. For USB, ensure drivers are correctly installed.
- Connectivity issues (Bluetooth/WiFi): Re-check pairing steps for Bluetooth or WiFi configuration steps (AP/STA mode) as described in Sections 6.4 and 6.5. Ensure correct SSID and password for WiFi.
9. User Tips
- For optimal performance, regularly clean the print head, especially if print quality degrades.
- Always use good quality thermal paper to prevent jams and ensure clear prints.
- Keep the printer in a well-ventilated area to prevent overheating during prolonged use.
