SAGE LU MEI GL-C-201P/GL-C-202P

ZigBee3.0 Pro+ GL-C-201P 5 IN 1/GL-C-202P 3 IN 1 LED Controller User Manual

1. Introduction

This manual provides comprehensive instructions for the SAGE LU MEI Zigbee Pro+ LED Strip Controllers, models GL-C-201P (5-in-1) and GL-C-202P (3-in-1). These smart LED controllers offer versatile lighting control for various LED strip types, integrating with popular smart home platforms like Amazon Alexa and Tuya Smart Life via a Zigbee gateway.

Product Variants:

  • GL-C-201P (5-in-1): Supports RGBCCT, RGBW, RGB, WWCW (Warm White/Cool White), and Dimmer functions.
  • GL-C-202P (3-in-1): Supports RGBCCT, RGBW, and RGB functions.

Important Note on Brightness: To maintain optimal smoothness at maximum brightness, not all lamp beads will reach their absolute peak brightness simultaneously. For example, when using warm white + cool white, 100% brightness is typically achieved with a combination like 100% warm white + 0% cool white, or 50% warm white + 50% cool white, rather than 100% of both simultaneously.

Zigbee Gateway Requirement: Our Zigbee devices (Zigbee/Plus/Pro version Products) require a compatible Zigbee gateway for smart control. If you do not have a Zigbee gateway, you can use a 2.4G RF remote control or wall switch (sold separately) to operate the Plus/Pro Version Products. Please note that the 2.4G RF remote control and wall switch are not Zigbee devices and only work with Plus/Pro Version Products.

8. Troubleshooting

  • Lights not turning on: Check power connections, ensure the power supply is working, and verify LED strip connections.
  • Incorrect colors/modes: Ensure the correct mode is selected using the 'OPT' button (indicator light color).
  • No smart control: Verify the Zigbee gateway is properly set up and connected to your network. Ensure the controller is successfully paired with the gateway in the app. Try power cycling the controller or performing a reset if pairing fails.
  • Power supply noise: Adjust the frequency setting using the 'Reset' button to find a frequency that minimizes noise with your specific power supply.
  • Insufficient brightness on long strips: For LED strips exceeding 20 meters, voltage drop can occur, leading to reduced brightness at the end of the strip. Consider using shorter strips or additional power injection points for very long runs.
  • General issues: If you encounter persistent problems, try resetting the controller by long-pressing the 'Reset' button for 5 seconds.

For further assistance or more information, please contact customer support.

9. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Gently wipe the controller with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
  • Environment: Keep the controller in a dry environment, away from direct sunlight, high temperatures, and moisture.
  • Connections: Periodically check all wiring connections to ensure they are secure.
