6. Setup and Installation
Before installation, ensure the power is turned off at the main circuit breaker. This module is designed to be installed behind your existing wall switch or directly into the lamp fixture.
6.1. Wiring Diagrams
The AVATTO Smart Light Switch Module supports both installations with a neutral wire and those without. Please refer to the appropriate diagram for your setup.
6.1.1. Wiring with Neutral Wire (Standard Installation)
For installations with a neutral wire, connect the module as follows:
- L: Live input from the power source.
- N: Neutral input from the power source.
- L1, L2, L3: Live outputs to the light fixtures (corresponding to 1, 2, or 3 gangs).
- COM: Common terminal for the physical switch.
- S1, S2, S3: Switch terminals for connecting your traditional wall switch.

6.1.2. Wiring without Neutral Wire (Capacitor Required)
If your installation does not have a neutral wire at the switch box, you must use the provided capacitor. The capacitor helps stabilize the circuit for low-power loads and prevents flickering or improper operation.
- Connect the module's 'L' terminal to the live input.
- Connect the module's 'L1' (or L2, L3 for multi-gang) output to the light fixture.
- Connect the capacitor in parallel with the light fixture, across the live and switched live wires.
- Connect the 'COM' and 'S1' (S2, S3) terminals to your physical switch.
Important: A capacitor needs to be connected at L1 of all switch module-L for no-neutral wire setups. Failure to do so may result in short circuits or device malfunction.

6.2. Physical Installation
The module's ultra-mini size (39x39x19mm) allows for flexible placement.
- Behind the Switch: The module can be easily placed inside most standard wall switch installation boxes.
- On the Lamp: Alternatively, it can be installed directly on the lamp fixture.

7. App Integration and Control
The AVATTO ZigBee module works with the Tuya Smart Life app. A Tuya ZigBee Hub (gateway) is required for network connection.
7.1. Connecting to the App (ZigBee)
- Ensure your Tuya ZigBee Hub is already set up and connected to the Smart Life/Tuya App.
- Power on the AVATTO Smart Light Switch Module. The indicator light should be flashing (refer to video for specific flashing pattern).
- Open the Smart Life/Tuya App.
- Tap the '+' icon or 'Add Device'.
- Select your ZigBee Hub, then choose 'Add sub-device' or 'Zigbee devices list'.
- The app will search for nearby ZigBee devices. Once found, add the switch module.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the pairing process.
- Once added, you can rename the switch and control it from the app.
Note: The provided video demonstrates the network connection process for both WiFi and Zigbee switch modules. For Zigbee, ensure the gateway is connected first (video segment 0:17 - 0:36).
7.2. Remote Control
After successful pairing, you can control your lights from anywhere using the Smart Life/Tuya App on your smartphone or tablet.

8. Voice Control
Integrate your AVATTO Smart Light Switch Module with Amazon Alexa or Google Home for convenient voice control.
- Ensure your module is successfully paired with the Smart Life/Tuya App.
- Open the Alexa or Google Home app.
- Enable the 'Smart Life' or 'Tuya Smart' skill/service.
- Link your Smart Life/Tuya account with Alexa/Google Home.
- Discover devices. Your AVATTO module should appear.
- You can now use voice commands like:
- "Alexa, turn on the living room light."
- "Hey Google, turn off the bedroom light."

9. Advanced Functions
9.1. Timer / Schedule / Countdown
Automate your lighting by setting up schedules, timers, and countdowns within the Smart Life/Tuya App.
- Timing: Set specific times for lights to turn on or off (e.g., 20:30 OFF once).
- Countdown: Set a duration after which the light will change state (e.g., 00:30 Later OFF).
- Cycle: Create recurring schedules (e.g., 07:00 ON Everyday).

9.2. Linkage Function
Create smart automation scenarios by linking your switch module with other smart devices in your Tuya ecosystem. For example, if a condition is met (e.g., another smart switch turns ON), then a specific action will be triggered (e.g., TV Sync Backlights change mode).

9.3. Group Control Function
Manage multiple switch modules across different rooms by setting them in a group. This allows you to control all grouped lights with a single command or tap.

9.4. Interlock Function
The interlock function ensures that only one channel of a multi-gang switch module can be active at any given time. When one channel is turned on, all other channels in the interlock group will automatically turn off.

9.5. Status Memory Function
The module can be configured to remember its last state (on or off) before a power interruption. When power is restored, the light will return to its previous state, or you can set it to always be on or off.

9.6. Family Share Function
Share control of your smart light switch module with family members. This allows everyone in the household to manage the lights from their own devices.

10. Troubleshooting
- Device not pairing:
