2. Setup Guide

2.1 Connecting the Host to the App

Follow these steps to connect your CPVAN CP10 Pro alarm host to the Tuya/Smart Life application on your mobile phone:

  1. On the alarm host, input the user code to access settings.
  2. Navigate to the 'Connection' menu and select 'WiFi'.
  3. Confirm the WiFi reset if prompted.
  4. Open the Tuya/Smart Life app on your mobile phone.
  5. Click 'Add Device' and allow the app to discover nearby devices.
  6. Enter your 2.4G WiFi network information (SSID and password).
  7. The host and mobile phone should connect successfully.

2.2 Pairing Accessories

After connecting the host to the app, you can pair various accessories:

  1. In the Tuya/Smart Life app, navigate to 'Accessories'.
  2. Select 'Quick add device' or the specific sensor type (e.g., Entry Sensor, Motion Sensor, Controller).
  3. **For Door/Window Sensors:** Separate the two parts of the door sensor to trigger it for pairing.
  4. **For PIR Motion Sensors:** Ensure batteries are installed and switch on the motion sensor to activate it for pairing.
  5. **For Remote Controls:** Press any button on the remote control to initiate pairing.
  6. Confirm successful addition in the app.

3. Operation

3.1 Arming and Disarming the System

The CPVAN CP10 Pro offers three convenient methods for arming and disarming:

  • Alarm Host: Directly interact with the 7-inch touchscreen panel to arm (Away/Home) or disarm the system. A password is required for disarming.
  • Remote Controls: Use the provided remote controls for quick one-key arming (Away/Home) or disarming.
  • Tuya/Smart Life App: Remotely arm or disarm the system from your mobile phone via the app. You can also view the real-time status of door/window sensors.

3.2 Alarm Notifications

  • APP Push Notifications: In case of an intrusion, the alarm will sound, and your mobile phone will receive an immediate push notification from the Tuya/Smart Life app.
  • Phone Calls & SMS Alerts: You can configure up to five phone numbers on the alarm host. When an intrusion is detected, the system will automatically send SMS alerts and make calls to these numbers sequentially.

3.3 Smart Home Integration

The CPVAN CP10 Pro is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, allowing for voice control of your security system. After setting up and binding your device in the Tuya/Smart Life app, you can use voice commands to arm or disarm the system. Note that a PIN code may be required for disarming via voice commands, which is typically preset in the Alexa/Google app.

4. Maintenance

  • Alarm Host Battery: The main alarm host features a built-in 5000mAh lithium battery, providing extended operation during power outages.
  • Outdoor Solar Siren: This siren is powered by a built-in 1000mAh lithium battery, which is continuously charged by its solar panel, ensuring constant operation. It is designed to be waterproof and includes anti-tamper features.
  • Door/Window Sensors: These sensors are powered by button batteries and feature a low voltage alarm to notify you when battery replacement is needed.
  • PIR Motion Sensors: These sensors are typically powered by AA batteries. Ensure batteries are replaced when the low battery indicator is active.
  • Anti-fingerprint Screen: The alarm panel's anti-fingerprint screen can be cleaned with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners.

5. Troubleshooting

  • Connection Issues: Ensure your mobile phone's Bluetooth is on and connected to a 2.4G WiFi network during initial setup. Verify WiFi credentials.
  • Sensor Not Pairing: Make sure the sensor is activated (e.g., separating door sensor, switching on motion sensor, pressing remote button) during the 'Quick add device' process in the app. Check battery levels.
  • No App Notifications: Verify that app notifications are enabled in your phone's settings and within the Tuya/Smart Life app. Ensure the alarm host has a stable internet connection.
  • Siren Not Sounding: Check if the siren is properly paired and powered. Ensure the system is armed when testing.
  • Voice Control Not Working: Confirm that your Alexa/Google Assistant device is correctly linked to your Tuya/Smart Life account and the alarm system.
