Setup Guide

  1. Charge the Battery: Before first use, fully charge the Li-ion battery (BL2204) using the provided Type-C charger set. Connect the charger to a power source and the Type-C cable to the radio. The charging indicator will show the charging status.
  2. Attach the Antenna: Screw the UHF 400-470MHz antenna (AN0435W15) clockwise into the antenna connector on top of the radio until it is firmly seated.
  3. Install the Battery: Align the battery with the battery compartment on the back of the radio and press it down until it clicks into place.
  4. Attach the Belt Clip: If desired, attach the belt clip (BC48) to the back of the radio using the provided screws.
  5. Attach the Nylon Strap: Thread the nylon strap (RO03) through the designated loop on the radio for added security.

Operating Instructions

Basic Operation:

  1. Power On/Off: Rotate the power/volume knob clockwise to turn on the radio. Rotate counter-clockwise until a click is heard to turn off.
  2. Adjust Volume: Rotate the power/volume knob to adjust the listening volume. The BP568 also features independent volume keys for fine-tuning.
  3. Select a Channel: Use the channel selector knob on top of the radio to choose one of the available channels. The 1.77-inch color display will show the selected channel.
  4. Transmit (PTT): Press and hold the Push-to-Talk (PTT) button on the side of the radio to transmit your voice. Speak clearly into the microphone. Release the PTT button to listen.
  5. Receive: When not transmitting, the radio will automatically receive signals on the selected channel.

Advanced Features:

  • VOX (Voice Operated Transmit): This feature allows you to transmit without manually pressing the PTT button. When VOX is enabled, the radio will automatically transmit when it detects your voice. Refer to the full user manual for activation and sensitivity settings.
  • Scan: Activate the scan function to monitor multiple channels for activity. The radio will stop on an active channel and resume scanning after a set period of inactivity.

  • Digital/Analog Compatibility: The radio can operate in both digital and analog modes. Ensure your radio is set to the correct mode to communicate with other radios in your network.
