This manual provides detailed instructions for setting up, operating, and maintaining your Rex VT Pro camera.

3. Setup Guide
3.1 Choosing the Correct Power Plug
Ensure you use the appropriate power adapter for your region.

- US Plug Adapter (2 Pin Flat Pin): United States, Canada, most North and South American Countries, Japan, Philippines, Thailand, etc.
- EU Plug Adapter (2 Pin Round Pin): Most European Countries, most African Countries, most Middle East Countries, South Korea, Chile, etc.
- KR Plug Adapter (2 Pin Round Pin): South Korea.
3.2 Initial Camera Setup with Imou Life App
Follow these steps to set up your Rex VT Pro camera using the Imou Life App:
- Step 1: Download the App
Scan the QR code below or search for “Imou Life” in Google Play Store (Android) or Apple App Store (iOS) to download and install the application. - Step 2: Register an Account
Run the Imou Life App and register an account for first-time use. - Step 3: Connect to Power
Connect the camera to a power source using the provided power adapter. - Step 4: Wait for Booting
Wait for the camera to finish booting. The camera indicator light will flash green when ready. - Step 5: Add Camera to App
Follow the in-app instructions to add your camera. If you have multiple cameras, add them one by one. If your Wi-Fi network changes or the indicator status is incorrect, reset the camera and repeat Step 5.

4. Operating Your IMOU Rex VT Pro
4.1 One-Touch Video Call
The Rex VT Pro allows you to stay connected with loved ones through one-touch video calls. Simply press the button on the camera to initiate a video call to pre-configured contacts via the Imou Life App.

4.2 3K QHD Image Quality
The 5MP lens delivers 3K UHD (Ultra High Definition) images, providing clear visuals for monitoring details or connecting with family.

4.3 Voice Memo Reminders
Use the Imou Life App to set up voice memos. The Rex VT Pro will play your pre-recorded audio to remind family members at home about important tasks or events.

4.4 Pan & Tilt Control
The camera supports 0°-355° horizontal pan and 0°-90° vertical tilt, allowing for a 360-degree view of your home. Control these movements remotely via the Imou Life App.

4.5 AI Human & Pet Detection
Powered by IMOU SENSE® AI technology, the camera accurately detects people and pets, tracking targets and sending alerts to your phone. The device can also trigger an alarm locally.

4.6 Abnormal Sound Alarm
Configure the Rex VT Pro to detect high-decibel abnormal sounds (e.g., a fall, broken glass). It will quickly push information to your phone, providing 24/7 protection.


4.7 Active Deterrence
If an intruder is detected, the camera can activate a 96dB siren to deter unwelcome visitors.

4.8 Privacy Mode
With a single click in the Imou Life App, the camera lens will automatically flip down, activating a physical privacy shield to ensure your privacy at home.

4.9 IR Night Vision
The Rex VT Pro provides infrared night vision, automatically activating and deactivating to guard your home 24/7, even in low-light conditions.

4.10 Smart Home Platform Integration
The camera is compatible with smart home platforms like Imou Life and Alexa, allowing for integrated control and monitoring.

4.11 Event Replay and Smart Tracking
The IMOU SENSE® algorithm organizes triggered events throughout the day, allowing you to quickly review highlights. The detection algorithm continuously tracks moving objects, keeping them in frame.


4.12 Customizable Protection
Set favorite points for monitoring, define customizable detection zones, set custom alarm sounds, and schedule protection times according to your preferences.


5. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Gently wipe the camera lens and body with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Software Updates: Regularly check the Imou Life App for firmware updates to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Placement: Place the camera in a stable location, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and moisture.
- Power Supply: Use only the provided power adapter to prevent damage to the device.
6. Troubleshooting
6.1 "Failed to bind" Error
If the app displays "Failed to bind", it means the device successfully connected to Wi-Fi but failed to link to your Imou account. This is often due to an unstable internet connection.
- Solution: Double-check your router's internet connection and stability, then try adding the device again.
6.2 Changing Wi-Fi Network
If you change your Wi-Fi network or move the camera to a new location:
- If your camera has an Ethernet port: Connect the camera to your router with an Ethernet cable. Wait for the LED to turn solid blue (indicating internet access). In the Imou Life App, go to the device settings, tap "Wi-Fi Config", and connect to your new Wi-Fi.
- If your camera does not have an Ethernet port or you don't have a cable: Reset your camera to factory defaults and set it up again with the new Wi-Fi network.
6.3 Not Receiving Alarm Messages
If you are not receiving alarm messages:
- Ensure the notification button is enabled in the upper right corner of the channel picture on the main page of the app.
- Check app notification settings: Enable Imou Notifications via "Settings" > "Notifications" on your iPhone, and "Me" > "Settings" > "Notice" on the Imou App.
- Verify event settings: For motion detection (or other events), ensure the event is enabled and the time schedule is valid.
- Confirm internet connection: Make sure the device is connected to the internet.
6.4 Black Image at Night
If the image is all black when working at night:
- Possible Reasons:
- IR LED did not light up.
- ICR (IR Cut Filter) did not switch to night mode.
- Objects are too far away from the camera.
- Solution:
- If IR LEDs light up but the image is black, there might be an issue with the ICR.
- Consumer cameras have a limited IR distance (typically less than 10m), so objects beyond this range may not be visible.

8. User Tips
- Cloud Storage Management: If using cloud storage, remember that new devices often have a 7-day free trial. After the trial, you can subscribe. Be aware that records are automatically deleted after 3 or 7 days depending on your subscription, so save important data in time.
- Account Security: For security reasons, one camera can only be bound to one Imou account. If you need to add your camera to a new account, delete it from the previous account first.
