4. Setup Guide
4.1. Physical Installation
The IMOU Ranger 2C offers multiple installation options:

- Desktop Placement: Simply place the camera on a flat, stable surface.
- Hoisting (Ceiling Mount): Use the provided mounting plate and screws to attach the camera to the ceiling. Ensure the camera is securely fastened.
- Wall Mounted: Use the provided mounting plate and screws to attach the camera to a wall. Ensure the camera is securely fastened.
Use the positioning map to mark drill holes accurately for ceiling or wall mounting.
4.2. Power Connection
- Connect the power cable to the camera's power port.
- Plug the power adapter into a standard electrical outlet.
- The camera will power on, and the LED indicator will show its status.
4.3. App Installation and Pairing
- Download the Imou Life app from your mobile device's app store (available for Android and iOS).
- Create an account or log in if you already have one.
- Follow the in-app instructions to add your new Ranger 2C camera. This typically involves scanning a QR code on the camera or manually entering its serial number.
- Ensure your mobile device is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network during the pairing process.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1. 360° Full View and Pan/Tilt Control
The Ranger 2C camera offers 360° horizontal pan and -5° to 80° vertical tilt, allowing you to monitor every corner of your home without blind spots. You can control the camera's movement directly from the Imou Life app.

5.2. Human Detection & Smart Tracking
The camera uses powerful image processing technology to accurately detect human targets, sending rapid notifications to your phone and minimizing false alarms from pets or other movements. When human motion is detected, the camera can automatically track the activity.

5.3. Two-Way Audio
With a built-in microphone and speaker, the Ranger 2C enables full-duplex two-way communication. You can listen to what's happening in your home and speak through the camera using the Imou Life app, allowing you to interact with family members or pets, or deter intruders.
