Connect the yellow (B+), red (ACC), and black (GND) wires to a 12V power supply to ensure the unit powers on correctly.

5.2 Rear Interface Description

The rear panel of the multimedia player features various ports for power, audio, video, and external devices. Refer to the diagram below for a detailed overview.

5.3 Reversing Camera Installation

Follow these steps to install the reversing camera (if purchased):

  1. Locate the reverse control line on the unit's power line (usually a pink wire). Connect this line to the positive 12V power supply of your vehicle's reverse light.
  2. Find the CAM video input interface on the back of the unit.
  3. Connect the camera's red power wire to the positive 12V of the reverse light and the black ground wire to the vehicle's chassis ground.
  4. Connect the camera's yellow video output RCA cable to the R-CAM video input on the multimedia player.
  5. Ensure all connections are secure.

Important Note:

  • If a reversing camera is not installed, do NOT connect the REVERSE/BACK cable to any point. Leave it unconnected. Connecting it without a camera can cause the unit to display incorrectly or automatically enter reverse mode, leading to malfunctions.
  • If the camera is properly wired but the reverse light does not illuminate, the camera may be faulty and needs replacement.

7. User Tips

  • Screen Calibration: If the screen is flashing or unresponsive to touch, restart the machine. If the issue persists, perform a five-finger screen correction: touch the screen with five fingers simultaneously until a "+" sign appears, then tap each "+" sign until calibration is complete.
  • Audio Quality: To avoid noise, ensure the speaker volume is not set excessively high. Verify that speaker cables are not grounded or short-circuited.
  • GPS Navigation: The unit supports both online and offline navigation. You can download map update APKs or use Wi-Fi hotspots for online navigation.
  • Power Off Display: The unit's clock display after turning off is a built-in feature and cannot be disabled. For complete power disconnection, unplug the positive and negative power wires.
  • No Sound: If there is no sound, check all wiring for shorts or incorrect connections. If necessary, test the unit with a single external speaker connected to a group of audio cables to isolate the problem.
  • FM Radio Reception: Ensure the radio antenna is fully inserted and properly connected. If reception is poor, try moving to an area with a stronger signal or replace the antenna if it's damaged.
  • Bluetooth Connection: When pairing, use default PINs like 0000, 1234, or 123456. If connection issues persist, try with another mobile phone. As a last resort, unplug the unit's power for 3 minutes and then reconnect.
  • USB Device Playback: For USB devices, ensure they are formatted to FAT32. If files are not playing, re-download them or try a different USB drive.
  • Steering Wheel Controls: If your car has steering wheel controls, ensure the KEY1 and KEY2 wires are correctly connected and perform the learning procedure in the settings.

8. Troubleshooting

8.1 Cannot Boot Normally

  1. Wiring Check: Ensure the yellow (B+), red (ACC), and black (GND) wires are correctly connected. Yellow to positive, red to key control, black to negative. Incorrect or insufficient connections will prevent booting.
  2. Original Car Wiring: Do not connect the unit's wiring directly to the original car's wiring if colors do not match standard. This can cause damage.
  3. Plug Compatibility: Do not plug the original car plug directly into the new unit unless it's specifically designed for it.
  4. Fuse Check: If wiring is correct but the unit doesn't boot, check the fuse on the yellow wire. If the fuse is fine, twist the yellow and red wires together, turn the key, and press the power button to test.
  5. Persistent Fuse Blowing: If fuses repeatedly blow, it indicates a short circuit in the unit's protection circuit. Professional repair is required.

8.2 Automatic Shut-down

  1. Cable Error: If the blue (automatic antenna power supply) cable is connected to the unit's power cable, automatic shutdown will occur. Correct the wiring.
  2. Unstable Voltage: Test the unit with a stable 12V-5A power supply. If it still shuts down, the unit is faulty.

8.3 No Sound

  1. After Installation:
    • Check for short-circuited or incorrectly connected speaker cables. Reconnect if necessary.
    • Verify speaker cable count. If only 2 speaker cables are present but the original car requires 4, re-route the original car line.
  2. After a While: Disconnect all speaker cables from the unit. Connect an external speaker to the gray and purple wires of the tail line. If there is sound, the car's speaker line is short-circuited or the speaker is damaged. If no sound, the unit is broken.

8.4 Other Common Issues

  • Noise: If there is noise, the original speaker power might be too low, or the speaker cable is grounded. Ensure volume is not too high and check speaker cable grounding.
  • Remote Control Not Working: Test the remote by pointing it at a phone camera and pressing a button; if the IR light doesn't flash, replace the battery.
  • Settings Not Saved (No Memory): Ensure the yellow and red wires are connected correctly (yellow to positive, red to key control) and not reversed.
  • Bluetooth Not Working: Turn on Bluetooth on both devices, search for "Car-BT", and pair. If issues persist, try with another phone or reset the unit's power.
  • Product Emits Smoke: Replace the FUSE. If the problem persists, the internal circuit is burned, requiring after-sales service.
  • Sound Cannot Be Adjusted: Reset the unit or unplug/replug the power cord. If the volume knob is broken, it needs replacement.
  • Reversing Camera Not Displaying: Check for wrong or missing wiring. Ensure the camera is connected as per section 5.3.
  • USB Devices Cannot Be Played: Format USB flash drive to FAT32. If still not working, replace the USB drive.
  • FM Does Not Receive Radio Station: Ensure antenna plug is fully inserted and connected. Try automatic station search. If issues persist, try inserting a metal strip into the antenna port as a temporary antenna.
