Setup and Installation

1. Charging the Device

Before initial use, fully charge the R15 Pro unit. Connect the provided Type-C charging cable to the charging port on the device and a suitable USB power source. A full charge typically takes approximately 2.5 hours.

2. Installing the Unit on Your Helmet

1. Choose Mounting Method: Decide between the fixed bracket (clamp mount) or the fixed iron sheet (adhesive mount) based on your helmet type and preference.
2. Mount the Bracket/Sheet: Securely attach the chosen mounting accessory to the side of your helmet. Ensure it is firmly in place.
3. Attach the R15 Pro Unit: Slide the R15 Pro host unit onto the mounted bracket or attach it to the iron sheet.

3. Connecting Speakers and Microphone

The R15 Pro comes with two types of microphones to accommodate different helmet designs:

• Boom Microphone: Ideal for open-face, half-helmets, and modular helmets where the microphone needs to extend closer to your mouth.
• Button Microphone: Suitable for full-face helmets where the microphone can be discreetly placed inside the chin bar.

Connect the chosen microphone and the speakers to the corresponding ports on the R15 Pro unit. Route the wires neatly inside the helmet padding to avoid discomfort or interference.

4. Changing DIY Color Shells (Optional)

The R15 Pro allows for customization with different color shells. Follow these steps to change the shell:

1. Carefully pry open the existing shell using the provided tool or a similar thin object.
2. Remove the old shell.
3. Align the new color shell with the unit and snap it into place.

1. Power On/Off

• Power On: Press and hold the main power button (center button with phone icon) for 3 seconds until you hear a voice prompt.
• Power Off: Press and hold the main power button for 3 seconds until you hear a voice prompt.

2. Bluetooth Pairing (Phone/GPS)

1. Ensure the R15 Pro is powered off.
2. Press and hold the main power button for approximately 5-7 seconds until the LED indicator flashes red and blue alternately, indicating pairing mode.
3. On your phone or GPS device, enable Bluetooth and search for "WAYXIN R15 Pro".
4. Select the device to pair. Once connected, the LED will flash blue slowly.

The R15 Pro supports connecting to two phones simultaneously. Pair the first phone, then repeat the process for the second phone.

3. Intercom Pairing (Device to Device)

• Passive Pairing: For two R15 Pro units, press the 'A' button on device 1 and device 2 for 3 seconds until both units' LEDs flash red and blue alternately. They will automatically connect.
• Universal Pairing: The R15 Pro is designed to pair with most other brands of motorcycle intercoms. Refer to the other device's manual for initiating universal pairing mode, then put the R15 Pro into pairing mode as described above.

4. Intercom Communication

Once paired, you can initiate intercom communication. The R15 Pro supports up to 8 riders in a group. The maximum effective range between the first and last person in a group is 2000 meters.

5. FM Radio

To activate the FM radio, press the 'FM' button. Use the volume up/down buttons (arrow keys) to scan for stations or adjust frequency. The R15 Pro supports a range of FM frequencies.

6. Music Playback and Voice Assistant

Once connected to your phone, you can play music. The 40MM ultra-thin high-quality speakers provide HIFI audio. Double-tap the main phone button to activate your phone's voice assistant (e.g., Siri, Galaxy) for hands-free control of music, navigation, and calls.

7. Intelligent Voice Prompts

The R15 Pro provides helpful voice prompts for various statuses:

• Power on/off confirmation.
• Notification of remaining power level.
• Low battery alerts.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the exterior of the R15 Pro unit. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
• Water Resistance: The device is IP67 waterproof, meaning it is protected against temporary immersion in water. However, avoid prolonged submersion or high-pressure water jets. Ensure the charging port cover is securely closed when not charging.
• Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place when not in use. Avoid extreme temperatures.
• Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Charge the device regularly, even if not in use for extended periods.

• Optimal Microphone Placement: For the best audio clarity, especially with noise reduction, ensure your chosen microphone is positioned correctly and close to your mouth, minimizing exposure to direct wind.
• Designed for Helmet Integration: The R15 Pro is specifically designed for integration with motorcycle helmets using its included speakers and microphones. While it uses a 3.5mm interface, using it with external headphones might not provide optimal performance or fit compared to the intended helmet setup.

Warranty and Support

WAYXIN provides a warranty service for the R15 Pro:

• Main Unit: One-Year Product Warranty.
• Headset Part (Speakers & Microphones): Six-Month Warranty.

The warranty does NOT cover the following situations:

1. The product is damaged due to dismantling by a third-party organization or individual.
2. The product is damaged due to human reasons (e.g., misuse, accidental damage).
3. The product is damaged due to force majeure factors (e.g., natural disasters).
