3. Setup and Installation
Follow these steps to properly install your WAYXIN R6S intercom system on your helmet.
3.1 Mounting the Intercom Unit

- Clean the desired mounting area on the side of your helmet.
- Peel off the adhesive backing from the fixed bracket.
- Attach the fixed bracket firmly to the helmet.
- Secure the bracket further using the provided screws and installation tool, if desired, for a more permanent attachment.
- Slide the R6S intercom unit onto the fixed bracket until it clicks into place.
- Ensure the unit is securely attached and does not wobble.
3.2 Speaker and Microphone Installation
The R6S comes with high-quality speakers and two types of microphones (hardcore and button) to suit different helmet types and preferences.

- Attach the speakers inside your helmet, aligning them with your ears for optimal sound. Use the adhesive pads provided.
- Choose the appropriate microphone for your helmet type:
- Hardcore Microphone: Suitable for open-face or modular helmets where the microphone needs to extend closer to your mouth.
- Button Microphone: Ideal for full-face helmets where the microphone can be discreetly placed inside the chin bar.
- Connect the chosen microphone and speakers to the 3.5mm interface on the R6S unit.
- Tuck all wires neatly under the helmet padding to prevent interference and ensure comfort.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Power On/Off
- Power On: Press and hold the main power button (center button with power icon) for approximately 3 seconds until you hear a power-on tone and the indicator light illuminates.
- Power Off: Press and hold the main power button for approximately 3 seconds until you hear a power-off tone and the indicator light turns off.
4.2 Bluetooth Pairing with Phone/GPS/MP3
- Ensure the R6S unit is powered off.
- Press and hold the main power button for approximately 7 seconds until the red and blue indicator lights flash alternately. This indicates pairing mode.
- On your phone, GPS, or MP3 device, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
- Select "WAYXIN R6S" from the list of found devices.
- Once connected, the indicator light on the R6S will flash blue slowly.
4.3 Intercom Pairing Operation (for multiple R6S units)
The R6S supports pairing up to 6 riders, with 2 riders able to talk simultaneously. The leader can initiate conversations with any paired rider.

- Enter Pairing State: With both R6S units powered off, press and hold the power button on each unit for 7 seconds until the red and blue lights flash alternately.
- Enter Search Mode: On one of the units, press the intercom button (often labeled 'B' or 'C' on the device) to enter search state. The blue light will flash quickly.
- Automatic Pairing: The two products will automatically attempt to pair. Once pairing is complete, both units will show blue lights flashing simultaneously.
- Initiate Intercom: After successful pairing, short press the intercom button on one of the products to enter intercom mode. The light will flash purple.
Notice: In step 3, you only need to press the intercom button on one of the products, not both. If the product has a connection record, you only need to press the intercom button to enter the intercom state, without repeating the full pairing process.
4.4 Activating Voice Assistant (Siri/Google Assistant)
You can activate your phone's voice assistant directly from the R6S unit.

- Activation: Double-tap the phone button (often labeled 'D' on the device) to wake up your phone's voice assistant (e.g., Siri or Google Assistant).
- You can then issue commands such as "Open Google Maps", "Call Peter", "Open Music", "Music last song", or "Music next".
4.5 Volume Control
- Increase Volume: Press the '+' button.
- Decrease Volume: Press the '-' button.
5. Maintenance
5.1 Charging
The R6S unit features an 800mAh lithium battery and charges via a Type-C interface.

- Connect the provided Type-C charging cable to the R6S unit and a suitable USB power adapter.
- A full charge takes approximately 2.5 hours.
- The indicator light will typically show red during charging and turn blue or off when fully charged.
5.2 Waterproofing
The R6S is designed with IP67 waterproofing, making it resistant to rain and splashes.

- While it is waterproof, avoid prolonged submersion or high-pressure water jets.
- Ensure the charging port cover is securely closed when not charging to maintain water resistance.
5.3 Cleaning
- Wipe the unit with a soft, damp cloth.
- Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
6. Troubleshooting
6.1 Common Issues and Solutions
- Unit does not power on:
- Ensure the battery is charged. Connect to a charger and try again after a few minutes.
- Check the charging cable and adapter for damage.
- Cannot pair with phone/GPS:
- Ensure the R6S is in pairing mode (red and blue lights flashing alternately).
- Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your device and it's discoverable.
- Try restarting both the R6S and your device.
- Clear previous Bluetooth connections on your device if you have too many.
- Intercom not connecting or one unit not working:
- Ensure both units are fully charged.
- Repeat the intercom pairing process carefully (Section 4.3).
- If units were previously paired, try resetting them and re-pairing.
- Ensure you are within the maximum intercom distance (1200m).
- Poor sound quality or excessive noise:
- Ensure speakers are positioned correctly over your ears.
- Check microphone placement to ensure it's close to your mouth and not obstructed.
- The DSP & CVC noise reduction technology is active, but extreme wind or engine noise might still affect clarity at very high speeds.
- Voice assistant not responding:
- Ensure your phone is connected via Bluetooth.
- Double-tap the phone button firmly.
- Check your phone's settings to ensure the voice assistant is enabled and accessible via Bluetooth devices.

8.1 Product Warranty
After receiving the product, we provide a one-year product warranty for the main unit and a six-month warranty for the headset part (speakers and microphones).
The following situations are NOT covered by the warranty:
- The product is damaged due to dismantling of the product by a third-party organization or individual.
- The product is damaged due to human reasons (misuse, accidental damage).
- The product is damaged due to force majeure factors (natural disasters, etc.).
