4. Installation

4.1. Mounting

The GEYA GPS8-05 is designed for DIN rail mounting (EN/IEC 60715). Ensure the device is securely clipped onto the DIN rail in a suitable enclosure.

4.2. Wiring

5. Operation

5.1. Parameter Setting

To enter parameter setting mode, long press the 'M' button for 3 seconds. Use the 'Up' (▲) and 'Down' (▼) buttons to adjust values. Short press 'M' to move to the next parameter. Long press 'M' for 3 seconds at any time to exit and save settings. If no key is operated for 60 seconds, the device will automatically exit the setting mode.

The parameters you can set include:

  • Overcurrent setting: OFF, 1A-32A/40A/50A/63A (depending on model)
  • Overvoltage operation value: OFF, 230V~300V
  • Overvoltage recovery value: 225V~295V
  • Undervoltage operation value: 140V~210V, OFF
  • Undervoltage recovery value: 145V~215V
  • Over/under voltage fault action time: 0.1s~10s
  • Power up delay: 2s~600s
  • Reset time: 2s~900s
  • Fault reset: ON-OFF
  • LCD backlight time: 10s~900s, ON

5.2. Manual Control (Open/Close)

During normal operation, the load can be switched ON or OFF manually by pressing the power key (⏻) for 0.5 seconds.

5.3. Power-on and Reset Delay

During power-on and fault reset, the product will count down and display the delay time. The load will be connected once the countdown ends.

5.4. Query Electricity & Power

The device can display current voltage, current, power, and total electricity consumption (kWh). Use the 'Up' (▲) button to cycle through these displays.

6. Maintenance

  • Regularly inspect the device for any signs of physical damage or loose connections.
  • Keep the device clean and free from dust and moisture.
  • As noted in the safety information, this product does not have an isolation function. Always disconnect the superior Miniature Circuit Breaker (MCB) before performing any maintenance or inspection on the GPS8-05 device to ensure safety.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1. Device Not Powering On

  • Check the power supply connections to ensure they are secure and correctly wired.

7.2. Load Not Activating After Power-on/Fault Reset

  • The device has a configurable power-up delay and reset time. Wait for the displayed countdown to complete.
  • Check the fault status LEDs. If any fault is indicated, address the underlying issue (overvoltage, undervoltage, or overcurrent).
  • Ensure the 'Fault reset' parameter is set to 'ON' if automatic reset is desired.

7.3. Incorrect Voltage/Current Readings

  • Verify that the wiring connections are correct and tight. Loose connections can lead to inaccurate readings.
  • Ensure the device's rated operational current matches your application.

8. User Tips

  • Input/Output Terminals: Pay close attention to the wiring diagram. For the GPS8-05U model, the input is typically from the top terminals (N, IN) and the output to the load is from the bottom terminals (N, Load). For the GPS8-05D model, the input is from the bottom and output from the top. Always double-check the markings on your specific device.
  • Parameter Adjustment: When adjusting parameters, a short press of the 'Up' (▲) or 'Down' (▼) button changes the value incrementally, while a long press allows for quicker adjustment. Remember to long press 'M' to save your settings before exiting.
  • Operating Temperature: The device is designed to operate within a temperature range of -20°C to +60°C. Ensure the installation environment stays within these limits for optimal performance and longevity.
