5. Setup

5.1 Mounting

The fixture can be mounted in various positions (floor, truss, wall) using the provided mounting bracket. Ensure the mounting surface or truss is capable of supporting the weight of the fixture and any additional equipment. Always use a safety cable (not included) when mounting overhead.

  • Attach the mounting bracket to the fixture using the provided screws.
  • Securely fasten the bracket to your desired mounting location.
  • Attach a safety cable to the designated safety point on the fixture.

5.2 Power Connection

Connect the power cable to the 'POWER IN' port on the rear of the fixture and then to a suitable power outlet. Ensure the power source matches the specified voltage.

5.3 DMX Connection (Optional)

For DMX control, connect a DMX cable from your DMX controller's 'OUT' port to the fixture's 'DMX IN' port. If linking multiple fixtures, connect from the first fixture's 'DMX OUT' to the next fixture's 'DMX IN', and so on. Terminate the last fixture in the chain with a DMX terminator (not included) for optimal signal integrity.

6. Operating Instructions

The fixture features a digital display and control buttons (MENU, UP, DOWN, ENTER) for mode selection and parameter adjustment.

6.1 Control Panel

The display shows the current mode or DMX address. Use the buttons to navigate:

  • MENU: Cycles through main menu options.
  • UP/DOWN: Navigates within menu options or adjusts values.
  • ENTER: Confirms selection or saves changes.

6.2 Operating Modes

Select an operating mode via the control panel:

  • Automatic Operation: The fixture runs through pre-programmed light shows and patterns.
  • Voice Control (Sound Active): The light reacts to ambient sound or music, changing patterns and colors.
  • DMX512 Control: Allows external control of all fixture functions (pan, tilt, color, gobo, dimming, strobe) using a DMX controller. Set the DMX address and channel mode (10 or 12 channels) on the fixture to match your controller.
  • Master-Slave: Link multiple fixtures together. Set one unit as 'Master' and others as 'Slave'. Slave units will mirror the Master's operation.

6.3 Light Effects

The fixture offers a variety of effects:

  • Colors: 8 distinct colors for vibrant illumination.
  • Patterns (Gobos): 8 different gobo patterns to project shapes and textures.
  • Dimming: Smooth 1-100% electronic dimming for intensity control.
  • Strobe: Variable strobe effects for dynamic pulses of light.
  • Movement: Precise 540° pan and 270° tilt movement for wide coverage.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance helps ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your moving head light.

  • Cleaning: Periodically clean the lenses and exterior with a soft, lint-free cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Ventilation: Ensure the cooling fan and vents are free from dust and debris to prevent overheating. The device features a constant temperature cooling system with a fan.
  • Connections: Regularly check all power and DMX connections for secure fit and signs of wear.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the fixture in a dry, dust-free environment.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • No Power: Check the power cable connection and the power outlet. Ensure the voltage is correct.
  • No Light Output: Verify the fixture is powered on and not in a blackout mode. Check DMX signal if applicable.
  • No DMX Control: Ensure DMX cables are correctly connected (IN to OUT), DMX address is set correctly, and the DMX controller is functioning. Check for a DMX terminator on the last fixture.
  • Erratic Movement/Behavior: Check DMX signal integrity. In DMX mode, ensure no conflicting signals. In standalone modes, try resetting the device. The self-checking induction feature helps with quick reset and anti-interference.
  • Overheating: Ensure adequate ventilation around the fixture. Clean any dust from the fan and vents.

9. User Tips

  • Wattage Clarification: The product is listed as an 80W total power light, featuring a 30W white LED and additional LED strips. When comparing models, always confirm the specific wattage of the main LED and total power for your needs.
  • Optimal Placement: For best effect coverage, consider placing multiple units to create a wider and more immersive light show. The 540° pan and 270° tilt allow for flexible positioning.
  • DMX Channel Modes: Experiment with both 10 and 12 DMX channel modes to find the one that best suits your control needs and offers the desired level of granularity for effects.

10. Warranty and Support

This product is covered by a standard manufacturer's warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. For warranty claims or technical support, please contact your retailer or the manufacturer directly. Keep your proof of purchase for any warranty-related inquiries.
