5. Installation (Setup)

General Installation Steps:

Then, connect the new 40-pin connector to your OEM CD/Radio Player and your original 40-pin power connector to the new 40-pin harness. Failure to connect the Fiber-Optic connector correctly will result in issues such as no sound or no car information display.

6. Operation

Switching Between Original Car System and Android System:

In the Android main menu, touch the "RadioMedia" icon to display the original car system. In the original car system, you can touch anywhere on the screen to return to the Android main menu.

Getting Sound from the Android Multimedia Unit:

To get sound from the Android unit, click the "RadioMedia" icon on the main menu or press the RADIO/DISC button on the OEM Radio/CD Player. Then, enter the OEM menu display, find the "Audio" button on the top left, and use your car COMAND knob to select "Aux" from the audio selections. If your OEM car audio settings do not have "Aux", you may need to activate it through the Benz OEM COMAND system settings under "Audio" -> "Disc" -> "Settings" -> "Personalization" -> "Original Car AUX" -> "LIVELY" to activate "Original Vehicle AUX". Wait for "DIAGNOSIS" to finish, then turn on "Aux".
