1. Introduction
The QUICKO T12-952 is a compact and intelligent quick-heating soldering station designed for precision electronic welding. Featuring an OLED digital display and advanced temperature control, it offers rapid heating, auto-sleep, and auto-power-off functions for enhanced safety and efficiency. Its small, palm-sized design makes it highly portable, addressing the challenge of carrying traditional, bulkier soldering stations.

2. Safety Information
Please read and understand all safety instructions before using the soldering station. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury.
- Always work in a well-ventilated area to avoid inhaling solder fumes.
- Wear appropriate eye protection to shield against splashes of molten solder.
- Do not touch the soldering iron tip or heating element when the unit is powered on or cooling down, as they reach very high temperatures.
- Ensure the soldering station is placed on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
- Keep flammable materials away from the soldering area.
- Disconnect the power supply when not in use or before performing maintenance.
- The iron tip should not operate continuously at high temperatures. Prolonged high-temperature operation can easily damage the tip and significantly reduce the life of the heating core.
- The normal welding temperature range is 300-380°C. Temperatures above 380°C can cause rapid oxidation and wear of the iron tip.
- If the temperature display shows fluctuations at higher temperatures, this is normal and does not affect functionality.

5. Setup
- Unpack Components: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Verify that you have the soldering station host, soldering iron handle, desired T12 series tip, and power cable.
- Attach Soldering Tip: Insert the T12 series soldering tip into the front end of the soldering iron handle. Ensure it is seated firmly.
- Connect Soldering Iron Handle: Plug the 4-pin aviation connector of the soldering iron handle into the corresponding handle interface on the front of the T12-952 host.
- Connect Power:
- For AC power: Connect the power cable to the AC interface on the rear of the host, then plug it into a suitable wall outlet (110-240V AC).
- For DC power: If using a DC 24V power supply, connect it to the DC 24V interface on the rear of the host.
- Ensure Grounding: For optimal safety, ensure the station is properly grounded.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Power On/Off
Flip the main switch on the rear of the host to the "ON" position to power on the station. The OLED display will illuminate. Flip the switch to "OFF" to power down.
6.2 Temperature Adjustment
Use the encoder knob on the front of the host to adjust the desired temperature. Turn clockwise to increase temperature, counter-clockwise to decrease. The OLED display will show the set temperature and current tip temperature.

6.3 Quick Heating
The T12-952 station is designed for rapid heating, achieving tin melting temperatures in less than 8 seconds. The display will show the temperature quickly rising to the set value.
6.4 Auto Sleep and Auto Power Off
The station features intelligent automatic sleep, standby, and shutdown functions to save power and extend the life of the heating core.
- Auto Sleep: The sleep setting time range is 0-99 minutes. If set to 1 minute, the soldering iron will automatically go into sleep mode after 1 minute of non-use. The display will show a reduced temperature (e.g., 150°C).
- Wake Up: To wake the station from sleep, simply lift the handle or turn the encoder.
- Auto Power Off: The power-off setting time range is 0-99 minutes. If sleep is set to 2 minutes and shutdown is set to 5 minutes, the host will enter sleep after 2 minutes of inactivity. If the handle is not moved for another 5 minutes (total 7 minutes), the host will enter the shutdown state. The screen will remain on, but the temperature will gradually drop.

6.5 BOOST Function
The BOOST function allows for a temporary increase in temperature for demanding soldering tasks.
- Activation: Manually press the encoder knob for 1 second.
- Duration: The temperature will increase by 50°C for 30 seconds.
- Customization: The strengthening time and temperature increase can be set freely within the multifunction menu.

6.6 Multifunction Menu
To access the setting menu, long-press the encoder knob. Navigate through the options by turning the encoder and select by pressing it. Press and hold the encoder, then turn on the power switch, flash the screen once, and release the encoder to change languages.

Menu options include:
- Calibration
- Auto sleep
- Auto poweroff
- Boost Duration

6.7 Temperature Reference for Soldering Tasks
The following are general temperature guidelines for common soldering applications:
- Chip dragging tin: 300°C - 380°C (related to the melting point of the tin wire)
- Pad scraping: 300°C - 400°C
- Chip removal: 300°C - 400°C
Note: These are reference values. Always adjust the temperature according to the actual situation and solder type.
7. Maintenance
7.1 Soldering Tip Care
- Tin Protection: When using a new soldering iron tip, ensure it is properly tinned (coated with solder) before and during use to prevent dry burning and oxidation.
- Cleaning: Regularly clean the soldering tip using a damp sponge or brass wool to remove excess solder and oxidation.
- Avoid High Temperatures: Do not operate the iron tip continuously at excessively high temperatures (above 380°C) as this can rapidly degrade the tip and heating element.
- Tip Conditioning: If a new tip exhibits jumping temperature readings, heat it to 480°C, then immediately shut down to cool. Repeat this heating and cooling cycle 2-3 times. This process helps stabilize the tip's temperature performance.
7.2 General Cleaning
- Ensure the unit is powered off and cooled down before cleaning.
- Wipe the host and handle with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Keep the ventilation openings free from dust and debris.
8. Troubleshooting
- Temperature Fluctuations: It is normal for the temperature display to show slight fluctuations, especially at higher temperatures. This does not typically affect performance.
- Iron Not Heating:
- Check if the power cable is securely connected to both the station and the power outlet.
- Ensure the main power switch is in the "ON" position.
- Verify the soldering iron handle is correctly plugged into the host's interface.
- Check the fuse on the rear of the unit.
- Tip Not Melting Solder:
- Ensure the set temperature is appropriate for the solder type (e.g., 300-380°C for most common solders).
- Clean the soldering tip thoroughly. A heavily oxidized tip will not transfer heat effectively.
- Ensure the tip is properly tinned.
- Station Enters Sleep/Shutdown Unexpectedly:
- Check the "Auto sleep" and "Auto poweroff" settings in the multifunction menu. Adjust the timings as needed.
9. User Tips
- For general welding tasks, a temperature range of 300-380°C is usually sufficient and helps preserve the life of the iron tip.
- When using a new T12 tip, perform the conditioning cycle (heat to 480°C, cool, repeat 2-3 times) to ensure stable temperature readings.
- Always keep your soldering tip clean and well-tinned to maximize heat transfer and tip longevity.
- Utilize the BOOST function for quick bursts of higher temperature when working with larger components or stubborn solder joints.
- Familiarize yourself with the multifunction menu to customize sleep times, boost settings, and other preferences for your workflow.
