8. Maintenance

8.1 General Care

  • Clean your watch regularly with a soft, dry cloth to remove dirt and sweat.
  • Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperatures, strong magnetic fields, or harsh chemicals.
  • Do not press buttons underwater.

8.2 Water Resistance (30M / 3ATM)

The watch is rated for 30 meters (3ATM) water resistance. This means it is suitable for daily use, such as splashes, rain, and hand washing. It is NOT suitable for showering, bathing, swimming, or diving. Exposure to hot water or steam can damage the seals and compromise water resistance.

8.3 Battery Replacement

The SKMEI 2259 uses a CR2025 battery. When the display becomes dim or functions become erratic, it may be time to replace the battery. Battery replacement should ideally be performed by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and maintain water resistance.

9. Troubleshooting

  • Watch not displaying time or blank screen: The battery may be depleted. Replace the CR2025 battery.
  • Time/Date is incorrect: Refer to the "Initial Setup" section (Section 6) to correctly set the time and date. Ensure you are pressing the correct buttons for adjustment and confirmation.
  • Buttons are unresponsive: Check if the watch is in a locked mode (if applicable, though not a stated feature for this model). If not, a low battery or internal issue might be present. Try replacing the battery.
  • Alarm not sounding: Ensure the alarm function is activated (check for the 'AL' indicator on the display). Verify the alarm time is set correctly.
  • Water inside the watch: Immediately take the watch to a professional for inspection and repair. Avoid further exposure to water.

10. User Tips

  • Setting Time: Many users find setting the time initially can be tricky. Remember to press the MODE button to cycle through the setting options (seconds, minutes, hours, date, etc.) and the RESET (bottom right) button to change the flashing value.
  • Band Adjustment: The stainless steel band can be adjusted by removing links. This typically requires a small tool and can be done by a jeweler or watch repair shop for a perfect fit.

11. Warranty and Support

For warranty information and customer support, please refer to the seller's policies or contact the point of purchase. Keep your proof of purchase for any warranty claims.
