6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning the Keyboard

  • Disconnect the keyboard from your computer before cleaning.
  • Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or a mild cleaning solution to wipe the keycaps and keyboard surface.
  • For dust and debris between keys, use compressed air.
  • Avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or solvents, as these can damage the keyboard's finish and keycap legends.
  • Ensure the keyboard is completely dry before reconnecting it to your computer.

6.2 Keycap and Switch Care

  • When removing keycaps, use the provided keycap puller to avoid damaging the keycaps or switch stems.
  • When hot-swapping switches, ensure the switch pins are straight before inserting them to prevent bending or damage to the PCB socket.
  • Store spare keycaps and switches in a safe, dry place.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1 Keyboard Not Responding

  • Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the keyboard and the computer.
  • Try connecting the keyboard to a different USB port on your computer.
  • Test the keyboard on another computer to rule out system-specific issues.
  • If using a USB hub, try connecting directly to the computer.

7.2 Backlighting Not Working or Incorrect

  • Check if the backlight is turned off or set to minimum brightness using FN + ↑/↓ (Up/Down Arrow).
  • Cycle through different lighting modes using FN + PgUp.
  • Ensure no software conflicts are interfering with the keyboard's lighting controls.

7.3 Keys Not Registering or Double-Typing

  • This could indicate a faulty switch. Utilize the hot-swap feature to replace the problematic switch with one of the complimentary switches or a new one.
