4. Setup
4.1 Battery Installation
The HT-1201 requires 3 AA batteries for operation. To install or replace batteries:
- Locate the battery box at the back of the main unit.
- Open the battery compartment cover.
- Insert 3 AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.

4.2 Probe Attachment
The device comes with a detachable probe. To attach the probe:
- Connect the probe cable to the host interface port on the main unit.
- Ensure the connection is firm and secure.
- Depending on your measurement needs, you can select either a short (S) or long (L) probe.


5. Operation
5.1 Basic Operation
- Press the Ⓒ (Power) button to turn on the device. The LCD screen will illuminate.
- Attach the probe firmly to the surface of the equipment you wish to measure.
- The device will automatically begin measuring vibration.
- To turn off the device, press and hold the Ⓒ (Power) button until the screen turns off. The device also features an automatic power-off after 4 minutes of inactivity.
5.2 Changing Measurement Units
- To switch between Acceleration (m/s²), Speed (mm/s), and Displacement (mm) units, press the ▼ (Down Arrow) key.
- To switch the temperature unit between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F), press the ▲ (Up Arrow) key.
5.3 Backlight and Max Value Hold
- Press the Enter key to activate or deactivate the display backlight.
- To hold the maximum measured value on the screen, press the Esc/Max key. Press it again to exit Max Hold mode.

Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the casing or screen. Ensure no liquids enter the device.
