Setup Instructions

  1. Charging the Device

Before first use, ensure both the transmitter and receiver are fully charged. Connect the included USB Type-C cable to the charging port on each unit and to a standard 5V USB power source. A full charge takes approximately 2 hours and provides about 6 hours of battery life. The device features a residual electricity visualization for real-time battery status display.

  2. Connecting the Transmitter to Your Instrument

Plug the transmitter unit into the output jack of your electric guitar, bass, or other compatible instrument. The ARU-10 is designed to fit various instruments, including Stratocaster-style electric guitars with vibrato systems. The transmitter features both 6.35mm and 3.5mm audio dual plugs for versatility, and its angle-folding design allows for convenient storage and flexible positioning.

  3. Connecting the Receiver to Your Amplifier/Mixer

Plug the receiver unit into the input jack of your amplifier, mixer, or audio interface. The receiver also features a 3.5mm audio plug.

  4. Pairing and Channel Selection

Turn on both the transmitter and receiver. The ARU-10 system features an 'Autolink' function, meaning the units will automatically pair upon activation, ensuring transmission without interference. If the indicator light on the receiver is solid, it indicates successful pairing. If it is flickering, pairing has not occurred, which could be due to strong signal interference, exceeding transmission distance, or a non-functional transmitter.

The system supports 7 groups of simultaneous use. Before use, switch the channels of each group respectively so that the channel indicator of each group shows a different color. This prevents interference between multiple systems. When a single transmitter is paired with multiple receivers, they will automatically connect if they are on the same channel.

Operating Instructions

  • Power On/Off

Press and hold the power button on both the transmitter and receiver to turn them on or off. The indicator light will illuminate when the device is active.

  • Channel Switching

To switch channels for multi-group use, refer to the pairing instructions. Each channel will be indicated by a different color on the device's indicator light.

  • Power Saving Mode

The ARU-10 features an automatic power-saving mode. If there is no signal input for 30 minutes, the device will automatically shut down to conserve battery life.

  • Transmission Range

The system offers an effective transmission distance of over 20 meters indoors and up to 50 meters outdoors. Optimal performance is achieved with a clear line of sight between the transmitter and receiver.

Figure 8: Effective transmission distance of up to 50 meters outdoors.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning

Wipe the units with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the finish or internal components.

  • Storage

When not in use for extended periods, store the ARU-10 system in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure the battery is partially charged (around 50%) before long-term storage to maintain battery health.

  • Battery Care

To prolong the life of the built-in lithium battery, avoid fully discharging it frequently. Recharge the units when the battery indicator shows low power.

Troubleshooting

  • No Sound or Intermittent Audio

Check Pairing: If the receiver's indicator light is flickering, the units are not paired. Ensure both units are powered on and within range. Try turning them off and on again to re-establish the connection.

Check Battery: Ensure both the transmitter and receiver have sufficient battery charge. Low battery can affect signal strength and stability.

Check Distance and Obstacles: Make sure the transmitter and receiver are within the effective transmission range (20m indoors, 50m outdoors) and that there are no major obstacles (e.g., thick walls, large metal objects) blocking the line of sight.

Check for Interference: Strong signal interference from other wireless devices (Wi-Fi routers, other wireless systems) can disrupt the connection. Try switching to a different channel if using multiple systems, or move away from potential interference sources.

Check Connections: Ensure the transmitter is securely plugged into your instrument and the receiver into your amplifier/mixer.

  • Device Not Turning On

Ensure the device is fully charged. If it still doesn't turn on after charging, contact customer support.

  • Automatic Shutdown

The device automatically shuts down after 30 minutes of no signal input as part of its power-saving feature. This is normal operation. If it shuts down unexpectedly during use, check the battery level.

User Tips

  • Full Charge First: Always fully charge both units before their initial use and before any important performance or practice session to ensure maximum battery life.

  • Line of Sight: For the most stable connection and best range, try to maintain a clear line of sight between the transmitter and receiver, especially in crowded or electromagnetically noisy environments.

  • Avoid Interference: Keep the wireless system away from other strong radio frequency sources like Wi-Fi routers, microwave ovens, or other wireless audio equipment if you experience dropouts or noise.

  • Channel Management: If using multiple ARU-10 systems simultaneously, ensure each pair is set to a different channel to prevent cross-interference.
