Introduction
The MAIWO Dual Bay M.2 NVMe and SATA SSD/HDD Docking Station is a versatile device designed for efficient data management, including reading, writing, and offline cloning of various storage drives. It supports both 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch SATA SSDs/HDDs, as well as M.2 NVMe SSDs, offering a maximum transfer speed of 10Gbps via its USB 3.1 Gen 2 interface. With support for up to 22TB of total capacity expansion, this enclosure provides a robust solution for data backup, migration, and storage.
Setup
- Prepare the Enclosure: Gently slide out the internal bracket from the enclosure.
- Insert Hard Drives:
- For 2.5"/3.5" SATA SSD/HDD: Carefully insert the SATA drive into the designated slot on the bracket.
- For M.2 NVMe SSD: Insert the M.2 NVMe SSD into its dedicated slot on the bracket, ensuring it is properly seated.
- Secure Drives: Fix the inserted drives with screws if necessary, then slide the bracket back into the enclosure until it clicks into place.
- Connect Power and USB: Connect the provided 12V-3A DC power adapter to the enclosure and plug it into a power outlet. Then, connect the enclosure to your computer (PC, laptop) or compatible mobile device (pad, phone with OTG function) using the appropriate USB-C to USB-C or USB-C to USB-A cable.

Operating Instructions
Read/Write Mode
Once connected to a computer or compatible mobile device, the inserted drives will be recognized as external storage. You can then access, read, and write data to them as you would with any other external drive. Ensure your device's USB port supports USB 3.1 Gen 2 for optimal 10Gbps transfer speeds.
Offline Clone Modes
The docking station supports two offline cloning modes without needing a computer connection:
- SATA to M.2 NVMe Cloning: Clone data from a 2.5"/3.5" SATA drive to an M.2 NVMe SSD.
- M.2 NVMe to SATA Cloning: Clone data from an M.2 NVMe SSD to a 2.5"/3.5" SATA drive.
Caution: For successful cloning, the capacity of the target disk must be larger than or equal to the source disk. Always verify the transfer direction button is correctly set before initiating the cloning process.

LED Indicators for Working Status
The front panel features clear LED indicators to show the device's current status:
- Power Indicator: Blue LED indicates the device is powered on.
- SATA/NVMe Indicators: Lights indicate which drive types are active.
- Read/Write Mode: SSD lights turn white.
- Reading & Writing: SSD lights flash.
- Cloning Progress: Progress lights (25%, 50%, 75%, 100%) turn blue and flash in sequence.
- Defect SSD: Red SSD light flashes.
- Auto Sleep Mode: SSD lights turn off after 10 minutes of inactivity.

Maintenance
- Heat Dissipation: The enclosure is constructed from premium aluminum alloy with a honeycomb design to ensure excellent heat dissipation, even during high-intensity operations. No additional cooling fan is typically required.
- Safe Removal: To prevent data loss or corruption, always use the "Safely Remove Hardware" option on your computer before unplugging the USB cable from the docking station.
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the enclosure. Avoid using liquid cleaners or solvents.
Troubleshooting
- Drives Not Detected: If your computer does not detect the inserted SSD/HDD, check the "Disk Management" utility in your operating system. The drive may need to be initialized, partitioned, or formatted.
- Slow Transfer Speeds: Ensure that your computer's USB port supports USB 3.1 Gen 2 (10Gbps) for optimal performance. Connecting to a slower USB port (e.g., USB 2.0 or USB 3.0) will result in reduced speeds.
- Cloning Failure: Verify that the target disk's capacity is greater than or equal to the source disk's capacity. Also, double-check that the cloning direction button (SATA to NVMe or NVMe to SATA) is correctly selected before starting the clone process.
- Power Issues: Ensure the 12V-3A DC power adapter is securely connected to both the enclosure and a working power outlet.
