3. Setup
3.1 Charging the Timer
The INKBIRD IDT-02 timer is equipped with a built-in 650mAh Li-Ion Polymer Battery. Before first use, or when the low battery indicator appears, charge the device using the provided USB Type-C cable.
- Connect the USB Type-C cable to the charging port on the timer.
- Plug the other end of the USB cable into a DC 5V power source (e.g., laptop, power bank, or standard USB charger).

3.2 Placement
The timer offers two convenient placement methods:
- Magnetic Back: The timer has a strong N35 magnetic suction grade back, allowing it to be securely attached to any magnetic or metal surface, such as a refrigerator, oven, or whiteboard.

4. Operation
The INKBIRD IDT-02 features a simple one-button operation for all functions.
4.1 Setting the Timer (Count-down Mode)
- Wake Up Screen: If the screen is dim (ECO mode), press the button once to wake it up.
- Set Minutes/Seconds: Rotate the button left or right to adjust the minutes (M) and seconds (S). Rotating clockwise increases the time, and counter-clockwise decreases it. The timing range is 0 to 99 minutes and 59 seconds.
- Start/Stop: Press the button once to start the count-down. Press it again to pause/stop the timer.
- Alarm: When the timer reaches 00:00, the alarm will sound (unless in mute mode) and the numbers will flash.
- Restart: Double-press the button to restart the timer with the last set time.
- Reset: Long-press the button to reset the timer to 00:00.
4.2 Count-up Mode
- Reset to Zero: Ensure the timer is reset to 00:00 (long-press the button if necessary).
- Start Count-up: Press the button once to start counting up from 00:00.
- Pause/Stop: Press the button again to pause the count-up.

4.3 Adjusting Alarm Volume
The timer offers four alarm volume levels: Mute (V0), Low (V1), Medium (V2), and High (V3).
- When the timer is stopped or reset to 00:00, rotate the button to cycle through the volume levels.
- The current volume level (V0, V1, V2, V3) will be displayed briefly on the screen.
- Select the desired volume level. In mute mode (V0), the screen will flash when the timer ends, but no sound will be produced.

4.4 Intelligent Memory Function
The timer remembers the last set time before entering ECO mode. To use this feature:
- Set a count-down timer and let it run or pause it.
- If the screen dims due to ECO mode, press the button once to wake it up.
- The last set time will be displayed. Press the button again to start the timer with this saved setting.
5. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the timer with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the device in water.
