2. Setup Guide

Please ensure you complete the Wi-Fi setup before installing the camera physically.

2.1 App Download & Account Creation

1. Download the Imou Life App: Scan the QR code below or search for "Imou Life" in the App Store, Google Play, or Huawei App Store.
2. Sign Up: Create an account using your email address or phone number.

2.2 Wi-Fi Connection & Device Pairing

1. Wi-Fi Requirement: Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz. The camera does not support 5GHz Wi-Fi.
2. Proximity: Place your smartphone and the camera within 3 meters of your Wi-Fi router during setup.
3. Power On: Connect the Ranger RC camera to power.
4. Indicator Light: Wait until the indicator light on the camera flashes green.
5. Add Camera in App: Open the Imou Life app, tap the "+" icon to add a new camera, and scan the QR code located on the bottom of your camera.
6. Follow Prompts: Follow the on-screen instructions in the app to complete the connection to your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network and add the device to your account.

2.3 Physical Installation (Ceiling Mount Example)

The camera can be mounted on a ceiling or placed on a flat surface. For ceiling mounting:

1. Positioning: Peel off the mounting template and stick it to the desired installation area on the ceiling.
2. Drill Holes: Drill holes into the mounting surface according to the marks on the template. Insert wall anchors if needed.
3. Secure Bracket: Secure the mounting bracket to the surface using the included screws.
4. Attach Camera: Rotate the camera clockwise to install it onto the bracket.
