5. Setup and Connection

5.1 Powering On/Off and Charging

  • Power On: Press and hold the power button (Power button icon) until the display lights up.
  • Power Off: Press and hold the power button until the display turns off.
  • Charging: Connect the provided Type-C charging cable to the DC 5V port on the device and a 5V/1A power source. A full charge takes approximately 1 hour. The device offers about 6 hours of music playback and 30 days of standby time on a 1-hour charge.

5.2 Connection Methods

The device supports three main connection methods: AUX line, RCA line, and FM transmission.

5.2.1 AUX Line Connection (Receiver Mode)

To connect to an audio system via AUX:

  1. Ensure the device is in Receiver (RX) mode.
  2. Connect one end of the 3.5mm audio cable to the AUX output port on the adapter.
  3. Connect the other end of the 3.5mm audio cable to the AUX input of your speaker, car audio system, or amplifier.

5.2.2 RCA Line Connection (Receiver Mode)

To connect to an audio system via RCA:

  1. Ensure the device is in Receiver (RX) mode.
  2. Connect the RCA cables (red and white) to the corresponding R and L RCA output ports on the adapter.
  3. Connect the other ends of the RCA cables to the RCA input of your speaker, car audio system, or amplifier.

5.2.3 FM Radio Frequency Pairing (Receiver Mode)

To connect to a car FM radio or other FM receiver:

  1. Ensure the device is in FM transmission mode (TX or RX mode with FM enabled).
  2. Tune your car radio or FM receiver to an unused FM frequency (e.g., 90.10 MHz).
  3. Adjust the FM frequency on the adapter to match the frequency on your radio. The adapter supports adjustable frequencies from 76-108MHz.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Mode Switching (TX/RX/FM)

The device supports Transmitter (TX), Receiver (RX), and FM Modulator modes. The current mode is indicated on the digital display.

  • To switch between modes, short press the Call/Mode button icon (Call/Mode) button. The display will show RX, FM, or TX.

6.2 Bluetooth Pairing (Receiver Mode - RX)

In RX mode, the device acts as a Bluetooth receiver, allowing you to stream audio from your phone/tablet to non-Bluetooth speakers.

  1. Switch the device to RX mode. The "BLUE" indicator on the display will flash, indicating it's in pairing mode.
  2. Enable Bluetooth on your mobile phone or other audio source.
  3. Search for "JS-9694" (or similar device name) in the Bluetooth device list and select it to pair.
  4. Once paired, the "BLUE" indicator will become solid, and you can stream audio.

6.3 Bluetooth Transmission (Transmitter Mode - TX)

In TX mode, the device acts as a Bluetooth transmitter, allowing you to send audio from non-Bluetooth devices (like TVs, computers) to Bluetooth headphones or speakers.

  1. Connect the audio adapter to your audio source (e.g., TV, computer) using an AUX or RCA cable.
  2. Switch the device to TX mode. The "TX" indicator will flash.
  3. Put your Bluetooth headphones or speaker into pairing mode.
  4. The adapter will automatically search for and connect to nearby Bluetooth audio devices. Once connected, the "TX" indicator will become solid.

6.4 FM Modulator Function

The FM modulator function allows you to transmit audio wirelessly to an FM radio.

  1. Switch the device to FM mode.
  2. Use the "-" and "+" buttons to adjust the FM frequency (76-108MHz) to an unused frequency on your FM radio.
  3. Tune your FM radio to the same frequency.
  4. Audio playing through the adapter will now be broadcast to your FM radio.

6.5 USB Drive Playback

The device supports playing audio files directly from a USB drive.

  1. Insert a USB drive (formatted as FAT12/FAT16/FAT32/exFAT, up to 128GB) containing MP3/WAV/WMA/FLAC/APE/M4A/ALAC files into the USB port.
  2. The device will automatically switch to USB playback mode, indicated by "USB" on the display.
  3. Use the "-" and "+" buttons to control volume or navigate tracks (short press for volume, long press for track change).

6.6 Hands-Free Calling

When connected to a mobile phone in Receiver (RX) mode, the device supports hands-free calling.

  • Answer Call: Short press the Call/Mode button icon (Call/Mode) button when an incoming call rings.
  • Reject Call: Long press the Call/Mode button icon (Call/Mode) button when an incoming call rings.
  • End Call: Short press the Call/Mode button icon (Call/Mode) button during a call.

6.7 Display Indicators

The digital display provides real-time information about the device's status:

8. Troubleshooting

  • When using FM transmission, experiment with different frequencies to find the clearest channel in your area to minimize interference.
  • Keep the device charged for uninterrupted use, especially during long trips or listening sessions.
  • The 20-meter transmission range is an ideal scenario; actual range may vary depending on environmental factors and obstacles.
