1. Introduction

The Physio-Stim KA-F38 is a versatile 4-channel hydromagnetic therapy device designed for pain relief and muscle stimulation across various body parts. It incorporates multiple treatment models including Interferential, Microcurrent, TENS (Asymmetrical and Alternating), Diadynamic, NMS Burst, and Galvanic (Continuous and Interrupted) therapies. This manual provides essential information for the safe and effective use of your device.

3. Setup

  1. Power Supply: Connect the device to a power outlet using the provided power adapter, or insert 5 AA batteries into the battery compartment.
  2. Connect Electrodes: Attach the connection cables to the desired electrode pads or therapeutic slippers.
  3. Apply Electrodes: Place the electrode pads on the skin over the target treatment area. Ensure the skin is clean and dry for optimal adhesion. For foot therapy, wear the therapeutic slippers. The device supports 4-channel output, allowing simultaneous treatment of up to 8 body parts.
  4. Power On: Press the 'OPEN POWER' button to turn on the device.

4. Operating Instructions

Familiarize yourself with the control panel:

  1. Select Function: Use 'FUNCTION SELECT I' and 'FUNCTION SELECT II' to choose your desired treatment model. The display screen will show options such as IFC-Interferential, Microcurrent, TENS Asymmetrical, TENS Alternating, Diadynamic, NMS Burst, Galvanic Continuous, and Galvanic Interrupted.
  2. Select Modes: The device offers 16 massage modes. Use the 'Select modes' button to cycle through these options.
  3. Set Time: Press 'Set Time' to adjust the duration of your therapy session.
  4. Adjust Intensity: Use the 'Intensity adjusting' knobs (Out1-2 and Out3-4) to set the pulse output intensity for each channel. Start with a low intensity and gradually increase to a comfortable level.
  5. Start Treatment: Press the 'Start' button to begin the therapy session.
  6. Monitor Display: The display shows the selected treatment model, time setting, and other relevant information.

5. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the device and electrode pads with a soft, damp cloth after each use. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the device in water.
  • Storage: Store the device and accessories in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Electrode Pads: Replace electrode pads when they lose their adhesiveness or become damaged to ensure effective treatment.
  • Battery Replacement: If using batteries, replace all 5 AA batteries when the power indicator shows low battery.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Device Not Turning On: Check if the power adapter is securely connected or if the batteries are correctly inserted and have sufficient charge.
  • No Sensation from Pads: Ensure the electrode pads are firmly attached to the skin. Increase the intensity gradually using the adjustment knobs. Verify that the connection cables are properly plugged into the device and pads.
  • Irregular Operation: Turn off the device, disconnect the power, wait a few seconds, and then restart. If the issue persists, contact customer support.
