4. Maintenance
4.1. Cleaning
- Regularly clean the scanner's window and exterior with a soft, lint-free cloth.
- For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water or a mild, non-abrasive cleaner.
- Do not use harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive materials, as these can damage the scanner.
4.2. Storage
- Store the scanner in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- When not in use for extended periods, ensure the battery is partially charged (around 50%) to prolong its lifespan.
4.3. Durability
The scanner is constructed with PC ABS material, designed to withstand impacts from falls of up to 1.5 meters onto a cement floor.

5. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your KEFAR KR-G80 series scanner, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- Scanner not connecting: Ensure the USB cable is securely connected, the 2.4G receiver is plugged in, or Bluetooth is properly paired. Check the scanner's battery level.
- No data transmitted after scanning: Verify the scanner is correctly connected to your device. Ensure the application on your computer/device is ready to receive input (e.g., a text field is active).
- Unable to scan certain barcodes: Check if the barcode type is supported by the scanner (refer to Specifications). Ensure the barcode is clean, undamaged, and well-lit. Adjust the scanning distance.
- Slow scanning performance: Ensure the scanner's lens is clean. If using wireless, check for interference or move closer to the receiver/device.
- Scanner not turning on: Charge the scanner for at least 30 minutes. If it still doesn't turn on, contact support.
For advanced settings like prefix/suffix configuration or COM port settings, please contact KEFAR support for the full manual.

8. User Tips
- Optimal Scanning: For best results, ensure the barcode is flat, well-lit, and the scanner is held at an appropriate distance (10-800mm) to allow the red aiming line to cover the entire code.
- Screen Scanning: The KR-G80 series is capable of scanning barcodes directly from digital screens. Ensure the screen brightness is adequate for successful reading.
- Battery Management: For wireless models, regularly check the battery level. A full charge provides extensive usage, but charging before critical tasks is recommended.
- Connectivity Modes: If experiencing issues with one connection type (e.g., Bluetooth), try switching to another available mode (2.4G wireless or wired USB) to diagnose the problem.
- Configuration Codes: Keep the user manual or a digital copy of the configuration barcodes handy for quick changes to scanning modes or other settings.
