2. Safety Information

CAUTION!

  • Keep this device away from rain and moisture!
  • Unplug mains lead before opening the housing.

Every person involved with the installation, operation, and maintenance of this device must be qualified and carefully follow the instructions in this manual.

  • Never stand directly beneath the unit when installing, removing, or servicing the light fixture.
  • Ensure the fixture is at least 0.5m (1.5ft) away from any flammable objects (decorations, etc.).
  • Overhead installation requires extensive experience, including calculation of working load limits, in-depth knowledge of installation materials, and regular safety inspections. Improper installation may result in personal injury.
  • Be sure to complete all fitting and installation procedures before connecting the mains power cord to a suitable wall outlet.

3. Setup and Installation

3.1. Mounting Points

For added protection, install fixtures outside walkways, seating areas, or areas where unauthorized persons may come into contact with fixtures. Before mounting the luminaire to any surface, ensure that the mounting area can withstand a minimum point load of 10 times the weight of the unit. Clamp installations must always be secured using secondary safety accessories such as appropriate safety cables.

3.2. Installation Bracket Kit Description

3.3. DMX-512 Control Connection

Connect the supplied XLR cable to the 3-pin XLR female output of your DMX controller and the other end to the 3-pin XLR male input of the moving head light. Multiple moving heads can be chained together via a serial link. The required cable should be a two-conductor shielded cable with XLR input and output connectors.

4. Operation

4.1. Menu Function

The device features an LCD display and control buttons (MENU, UP, DOWN, ENTER) for setting various functions. To navigate and adjust settings:

  1. Press the "MENU" button to switch between functions.
  2. Use "UP/DOWN" buttons to change values or select functions.
  3. Press the "ENTER" button to save the selected function or value.

Remarks on DMX Channels:

  • If the keys are not operated for 5 seconds, the device will automatically return to the main menu. If a DMX signal is present, the red dot on the display will flicker.
  • When connecting two or more units with a 3-pin signal line, set one light as Master to Show mode, and other lights to Slave Mode automatically. In DMX mode, the Slave Mode address code is invalid.

  • No Light Output: Verify that the dimmer channel is not set to 0% and that the light source is functioning. Check DMX connections and settings.
  • No Movement/Incorrect Movement: Check DMX connections and ensure the DMX address and channel settings are correct. Verify that Pan/Tilt limits are not set.
  • DMX Control Issues: Ensure the DMX cable is correctly connected (DMX IN to DMX OUT). Check the DMX address setting on the fixture and your controller. Try a different DMX cable.
  • Display Not Working: Check the 'Led' and 'Disp' settings in the menu to ensure the screen is not turned off or in reverse mode.
