5. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any problems, refer to the solutions below. If the issue persists, contact technical support.

5.1 Common Issues and Solutions

Q: Why can't I boot the device?
A: The machine is tested before shipping. Most boot issues are related to power connection:
  1. Ensure ACC (G3) and 12V (G2) are connected to the positive pole of the car's 12V power supply, and G1 is connected to the negative pole. If the power cord doesn't match, you can directly connect these 3 wires to test.
  2. Check if the internal cables of the radio have fallen off during transportation. Open the back cover and reconnect them.
  3. If the device still doesn't turn on, send a video showing proper wiring and 12V test with a multimeter to support.
Q: Why doesn't GPS work?
A: Check the following:
  1. Ensure the GPS module is tightly connected.
  2. Check GPS monitoring for the number of stars searched (should normally display more than 3 green stars).
  3. Place the GPS module on the A-pillar of the car.
  4. Turn off other electronic devices in the car that might interfere with GPS signals.
  5. If issues persist, contact support for a new GPS module.
Q: Why does the Bluetooth connection fail?
A: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone and search for the device. If problems occur:
  1. Check if the video input cable is plugged in. The two short blue cables are for Bluetooth and WiFi signals.
  2. Ignore previously connected devices on your phone and reconnect.
  3. Try connecting with another phone.
Q: Why does the left button light not light up?
A: Check if G4 on the power cord is connected to ACC.
Q: How to proofread the guide buttons?
A: Go to Car settings > General > Extra settings (password 123456) > Touch area Key. Click Start, then Clear, and then click each key to learn.
Q: How to set the boot logo?
A: Go to Car settings > General > Extra settings (password 123456) > LOGO setting (supports custom startup picture).
Q: Why is the sound low and noisy background sounds appear when playing music?
A: This is typically due to electronic equipment or power interference. You may need to purchase filters. Contact support for assistance.
Q: Why is there no original car setting when CANBUS is included, or the original car has abnormal functions?
A: Connect the machine to the network to update the CANBUS library, then check or reset CANBUS settings.
Q: How to wire Outlander 2 (2005-2011) / Lancer (2007-2013) with Rockford amplifier?
A: There are two scenarios:
  1. If you have an RCA cable, connect the RCA AMP CTRL cable and AMP CONT cable together. The sound should work normally.
  2. If there is no RCA cable, find the AMP CTRL cable and connect it to the ACC cable (red). Remove the plastic without cutting.

7. User Tips

  • Compatibility Check: Before purchasing or installing, always verify the specific model (e.g., T4, T8, T10) and its features (e.g., CarPlay, DVR, CAM, MIC, RAM/ROM) against your vehicle's year and existing systems (like Rockford amplifier or original camera). There are different versions (A and B) for original car features.
  • CANBUS Configuration: If your car has original features like steering wheel controls or an OEM camera, ensure CANBUS is correctly configured. If issues arise, check the CANBUS settings in "Extra settings" and update the library if necessary.
  • Cooling Fan: The built-in cooling fan is crucial for long-term stability, especially in hot climates or during extended use. Ensure it's always functioning correctly to prevent overheating and system restarts.
  • AI Voice Control: Note that AI voice control requires an additional activation code purchase. If you intend to use this feature, ensure you acquire the code.
  • Sound Quality: If you experience low sound or background noise, especially with a Rockford amplifier, check the wiring as described in the troubleshooting section. Filters might be needed for electronic interference.
