4. Setup Instructions

  1. Unpack the System: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
  2. Connect Antennas: Screw the two antennas onto the ANT-A and ANT-B connectors on the rear panel of the receiver.
  3. Connect Power: Plug the power adapter into the DC9V-12V power interface on the receiver, then plug the adapter into a suitable power outlet.
  4. Connect Audio Output: Connect the receiver's audio output to your audio system (mixer, amplifier, etc.). You can use either the Balanced Out A/B (XLR) for individual microphone outputs or the Mix Out (1/4" jack) for a combined output. Ensure you connect to a MIC input, not an AUX input, for proper sound levels.
  5. Install Batteries in Microphones: Open the battery compartment of each handheld microphone and insert two 1.5V AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
  6. Power On: Turn on the receiver using the power switch on the front panel. Then, turn on each microphone using its power button. The system will automatically synchronize frequencies.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Basic Operation

  1. After successful setup, ensure both the receiver and microphones are powered on.
  2. Adjust the volume for each microphone using the individual volume adjustment knobs on the receiver's front panel.
  3. Speak into the microphone to test the sound. The receiver's display will show RF (radio frequency) and AF (audio frequency) signal strength indicators.

5.2. Frequency Adjustment (Flash Match)

The G-MARK EW100 features a convenient 'Flash Match' function for quick frequency synchronization:

  1. Ensure the receiver is powered on.
  2. Open the battery cover of the handheld microphone to access the 'Link key' button.
  3. Press the 'Link key' button once. The frequency displayed on the handheld microphone will change.
  4. Observe the receiver's display. When the frequency on the receiver matches the frequency of the handheld microphone, the frequency adjustment is complete, and the microphone is synchronized.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the surfaces of the receiver and microphones. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
  • Storage: Store the system in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Battery Care: If the microphones will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage and damage.
  • Antenna Care: Handle antennas carefully to avoid bending or breaking.

7. Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
No sound from microphoneMicrophone or receiver not powered on; low batteries; incorrect audio connection; frequency mismatch.Ensure all devices are powered on. Replace batteries. Check audio cable connection to MIC input. Perform frequency adjustment (Flash Match).
Interference or static noiseOther wireless devices operating on similar frequencies; obstacles blocking signal; too far from receiver.Use the auto-scan function to find a clear frequency. Ensure clear line of sight between microphone and receiver. Reduce distance between microphone and receiver.
Weak or distorted soundLow microphone volume; microphone too far from mouth; low batteries.Increase microphone volume on the receiver. Hold microphone closer to your mouth. Replace batteries.
Microphone not pairingIncorrect frequency adjustment procedure.Follow the 'Flash Match' frequency adjustment steps carefully. Ensure the receiver is on when attempting to pair.

8. User Tips

  • Optimal Performance: For the best wireless performance, always ensure a clear line of sight between the handheld microphones and the receiver. Avoid placing the receiver behind large metal objects or in enclosed spaces.
  • Battery Life: Always use fresh, high-quality 1.5V AA batteries for the microphones. Consider using rechargeable batteries for environmental friendliness and cost savings.
  • Audio Connection: When connecting the receiver to your sound system, always use a dedicated microphone input (MIC IN) on your mixer or amplifier. Connecting to an auxiliary (AUX) input may result in low volume or poor sound quality.
  • Replacement Parts: If you require replacement parts such as microphone grilles or capsules, please contact G-MARK customer support for assistance.
