3. Setup Instructions

4.4. Axis Exchange (Hot-Swappable Switches)

The CK420 features hot-swappable COX GTMX mechanical switches, allowing you to change switches without soldering. This enables customization of typing feel and sound.

  1. Remove Keycap: Use the included keycap puller to gently remove the desired keycap.
  2. Remove Switch: Use the included switch puller to carefully grip the top and bottom clips of the switch and pull it straight up.
  3. Insert New Switch: Align the pins of the new switch with the holes on the PCB. Gently push the switch down until it clicks into place. Ensure the pins are not bent.
  4. Replace Keycap: Press the keycap onto the new switch stem.

5. Maintenance

  • Cleaning Keycaps: Use a keycap puller to remove keycaps. Clean them with a mild soap solution and a soft cloth, then dry thoroughly before reattaching.
  • Cleaning the Keyboard Body: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the keyboard body. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, ensuring no moisture enters the keyboard.
  • Switch Maintenance: If a switch feels inconsistent, you can remove it and inspect for debris. Replace if necessary.

  • LEDs Not Lighting Up:
    • Check LED brightness settings (Fn + Up/Down Arrow).
    • Cycle through LED modes (Fn + Scroll Lock).

  • Keys Not Registering:
