1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the ABIR X8 Robot Vacuum Cleaner. This manual provides essential information for setting up, operating, and maintaining your device to ensure optimal performance and longevity. The ABIR X8 features advanced Dual Laser + SLAM + TOF Wisdom 3D Navigation, powerful 6500Pa suction, and multi-floor mapping capabilities for efficient home cleaning.

Upon unboxing your ABIR X8, please verify that all components are present:

3. Setup

3.1 Initial Unboxing and Component Overview

Carefully remove all items from the packaging. The robot vacuum comes with various accessories for both dry vacuuming and wet mopping. The main unit features a sleek black glossy surface and a central LiDAR sensor for navigation.

3.2 Charging Station Placement

Place the charging station against a wall in an open area, ensuring there are no obstacles within 1 meter to the sides and 2 meters in front. Connect the AC adapter to the charging station and plug it into a power outlet. Ensure the robot is fully charged before its first use.

3.3 App Installation and Connection

The ABIR X8 supports smart control via a mobile application. While the manual may mention 'Tuya', the manufacturer recommends using the 'Smart Life' app for more functionality. Download the 'Smart Life' app from your smartphone's app store. Follow the in-app instructions to connect your robot vacuum to your home Wi-Fi network (2.4 GHz only). No QR code scanning is required for Wi-Fi connection with the updated software.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Navigation and Mapping

The ABIR X8 utilizes Dual Laser, SLAM, and TOF Wisdom 3D Navigation for precise mapping and efficient cleaning. The 8th generation laser scans up to 8 meters at 2160 times/second, creating detailed maps of your home.

The TOF (Time-of-Flight) sensor, located in the bumper, uses two 'eyes' for intelligent visual recognition, quickly measuring distances to objects and walls, ensuring efficient and smarter cleaning.

4.2 Multi-Map Management

The robot can save multiple floor plans on the app. This feature ensures that maps of other floors are not cleared when the robot cleans a different floor, making it ideal for multi-story homes.

4.3 Cleaning Modes and Customization

The ABIR X8 offers 15 types of cleaning modes and intelligent management through the app:

  • Auto Partition Cleaning: Cleans from one room to another as planned.
  • Manual Partition Cleaning: Set cleaning plan as needed.
  • Zigzag Cleaning: Cleans your room thoroughly.
  • Edge Cleaning: Quickly maps out your rooms.
  • Schedule Cleaning: Schedule at any time you want.
  • Focus Cleaning: Handles dirtier areas easily.
  • Software Virtual Barrier: Draw a line to block areas.
  • Restricted Area Setting: Leave trouble areas.
  • Specified Location: Instruct robot to go to a specified place.
  • Selective Cleaning Area: Deeply clean a specified area.
  • Y Shape Mopping Mode: Intelligent artificial mopping.

You can customize room cleaning by setting cleaning times, cleaning sequence, suction power, and adjusting water speed for each room.

4.4 Restricted Areas and Virtual Barriers

Use the mobile app to define software-restricted areas or virtual barriers. The X8 robot will not enter these designated areas during cleaning, preventing it from getting stuck or cleaning unwanted zones.

4.5 Y-Shape Mopping Mode

The X8 features an innovative Y-shape mopping mode, mimicking manual mopping by moving back and forth to wipe the floor more effectively.

4.6 Voice Control

The robot supports multilingual voice packs and can be controlled via voice assistants like Alexa, Google Home, and Yandex Alice.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance is crucial for the optimal performance and longevity of your ABIR X8 robot vacuum. Always power off the device before performing any maintenance.

5.1 Dustbin and Filter Cleaning

The dustbin has a capacity of 600ml and features an integrated electric motor. To clean, unclip the lid and empty the contents. The filtration system includes a HEPA filter and a metallic mesh for primary coarse cleaning. The HEPA filter is reusable and can be rinsed under running water; however, it must be thoroughly dried for at least 24 hours before reinstallation to prevent damage to the motor.

5.2 Water Tank Management

The electric water tank has a capacity of 360ml. It is important to remove the water tank and empty it after each mopping session. Do not leave the robot on its base with a full water tank for extended periods, as water is supplied by a capillary method and cannot be fully controlled, potentially leading to leaks.

5.3 Brush Cleaning and Replacement

The robot is equipped with two side brushes and a main central brush. The side brushes have an extended length and a special attachment to prevent hair from tangling. The main brush is removable and can be disassembled for easier cleaning of tangled hair and debris. Extra side brushes and a HEPA filter are included in the package for replacement.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your ABIR X8, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Robot not charging: Ensure the charging station is properly plugged in and the robot is correctly docked. Clean the charging contacts on both the robot and the base.
  • Robot gets stuck frequently: Check for small obstacles, loose cables, or rugs that might be trapping the robot. Use the app to set restricted areas or virtual barriers around problematic zones.
  • Poor cleaning performance: Clean the dustbin and filters regularly. Ensure the side brushes and main brush are free of tangled hair and debris. Replace worn-out brushes or filters if necessary.
  • Water tank leaks or doesn't dispense water: Ensure the water tank is correctly installed. If leaking, check for cracks or improper sealing. If not dispensing, ensure the mop pad is attached correctly and the water outlets are not clogged. Remember to remove the water tank after each use.
  • App connectivity issues: Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4 GHz. Restart your router, the robot, and your smartphone. Try reconnecting the robot through the 'Smart Life' app.
  • Robot makes unusual noises: Check all brushes and wheels for any foreign objects or debris that might be causing the noise.

8. User Tips

  • For optimal cleaning, ensure small objects, cables, and loose rugs are cleared from the floor before the robot starts its cleaning cycle.
  • Regularly check and clean the main brush and side brushes to prevent hair and debris from tangling, which can affect cleaning efficiency.
  • Utilize the multi-map management feature if you have multiple floors to ensure the robot has an accurate map for each level.
  • Define restricted areas in the app for places you don't want the robot to go, such as pet feeding areas or delicate zones.
  • Always empty the water tank after mopping to prevent water damage or mildew.
  • Take advantage of the customizable room cleaning settings in the app to tailor suction power and water flow to different floor types and cleaning needs.

9. Warranty and Support

Your ABIR X8 Robot Vacuum Cleaner comes with a 3-year warranty. In the event of any issues with the robot, please contact customer support and provide a video demonstrating the problem. We will arrange for free spare parts for replacement if the issue is covered under warranty.

Please note that the laser head, mainboard, and battery have a 1-year warranty, while other spare parts are covered for 3 years. Even if your product is out of warranty, we will continue to provide support.
