Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues while using your XTOOL Advancer AD20Pro, refer to the following troubleshooting tips:

  • OBD Access Error: If the software prompts "OBD access error," contact technical support. This may indicate that your car does not support OBD communication, and technicians can configure the operation in the background.
  • Bluetooth Communication Issues:
    • Verify your device's operating system: Android 4.4+ (with 64-bit processor) or iOS 11+.
    • Ensure the AD20Pro dongle is securely plugged into the OBDII port.
    • Confirm a stable network connection.
    • Make sure the vehicle is started or the ignition is in the "ON" position.
    • Grant necessary app permissions: Go to Settings > Privacy > Bluetooth/Location > Enable Advancer AD20.
  • Failed to Clear SRS or Other Fault Codes: Some fault codes, particularly those related to safety systems like SRS (Supplemental Restraint System), can only be cleared after the underlying issue has been physically repaired. This is a safety measure to prevent clearing critical warnings without addressing the problem.
