1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the Geevon Wireless Weather Station. This device provides accurate indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity readings, a 12-24 hour weather forecast, moon phase display, time, and date. Its user-friendly design includes a color LCD touchscreen with adjustable backlight and versatile placement options. This manual will guide you through the setup, operation, and maintenance of your new weather station.

4. Setup Instructions

4.1 Powering the Main Unit

  1. Battery Installation: Open the battery compartment on the back of the main unit. Insert 3 new AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  2. USB Power (Optional/Recommended for continuous backlight): For continuous backlight, connect the provided USB cable to the main unit and plug the other end into a USB power adapter (not included) or a powered USB port.

Note: When powered by batteries alone, the backlight will only illuminate for 10 seconds after pressing the SNZ/LIGHT button to conserve power. Continuous backlight requires USB power.

4.2 Sensor Setup and Placement

  1. Sensor Battery Installation: Open the battery compartment on the wireless outdoor sensor. Insert 2 new AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  2. Sensor Placement: Place the outdoor sensor in a location that is protected from direct sunlight and rain, but allows for good air circulation. Ensure it is within the 200ft/60m wireless transmission range of the main unit. Avoid placing it near large metal objects or other electronic devices that may cause interference.
  3. Pairing (if necessary): The sensor should automatically connect to the main unit upon power-up. If not, refer to the 'Troubleshooting' section or the specific pairing instructions in the full manual.

4.3 Initial Settings (Time, Date, Temperature Unit)

Upon first power-up or after battery replacement, you may need to set the time, date, and preferred temperature unit. Consult the full manual for detailed button functions. Generally:

  • Use the 'MODE' or 'SET' button to enter setting mode.
  • Use 'UP' and 'DOWN' buttons to adjust values.
  • Press 'MODE' or 'SET' again to confirm and move to the next setting.
  • To switch between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F), locate the 'C/F' button or a dedicated switch, often on the back or side of the unit, or press the 'DOWN' button during normal operation.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Display Overview

The LCD display is divided into several sections, showing:

  • Top Left: Current Time and Day of the Week.
  • Left Section: Remote (Outdoor) Temperature, Humidity, and Comfort Level.
  • Middle Section: 12-24 Hour Weather Forecast and Moon Phase.
  • Right Section: Indoor Temperature, Humidity, and Comfort Level.

5.2 Backlight Adjustment

If the main unit is powered by USB, press the 'SNZ/LIGHT' button to cycle through 3 levels of brightness or turn the backlight off. If powered by batteries, pressing 'SNZ/LIGHT' will illuminate the screen for 10 seconds.

5.3 Max/Min Records

Press the 'MEM' button to view the maximum and minimum temperature and humidity records for the past 24 hours. Press again to cycle through Max, Min, and current readings.

5.4 Setting Hi/Lo Alerts

Refer to the full manual for specific instructions on setting high and low alerts for temperature and humidity. This feature allows you to be notified when conditions exceed or fall below your desired range.

5.5 Weather Forecast & Moon Phases

The weather station automatically calculates and displays a 12-24 hour weather forecast based on atmospheric pressure changes. The moon phase display updates automatically with the set date.

5.6 Dew Point, Heat Index, and Mold Risk

Press the 'UP' button during normal operation to cycle through the display of Dew Point, Heat Index, and Mold Risk. These indicators provide additional insights into environmental conditions.

5.7 Alarm Clock Function

The weather station includes an alarm clock function. Refer to the full manual for detailed steps on setting and activating the alarm.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the display and unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Battery Replacement: Replace batteries in both the main unit and the outdoor sensor when the low battery indicator appears on the display. Always replace with new batteries of the same type.
  • Storage: If storing the unit for an extended period, remove all batteries to prevent leakage.

7. Troubleshooting

9. User Tips

  • For a continuously lit display, always power the main unit using the USB cable. Battery power will only provide temporary backlight.
  • If you need additional outdoor sensors, please search for ASINs B0963DKBQP or B08PNRP98G to find compatible Geevon sensors.
  • Ensure the outdoor sensor is placed in a location that accurately reflects the ambient conditions, away from direct heat sources, sunlight, or heavy precipitation.
  • To switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit, look for a dedicated C/F button or try pressing the 'DOWN' button during normal display mode.
  • This weather station is not a 'smart device' and does not connect to mobile phones or Wi-Fi.
