Leveraging Apple's Find My network, this device allows for precise location tracking and anti-loss reminders directly through your Apple device. 5. Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to connect your NTag Wireless GPS Smart Tracker to your Apple device:

1. Ensure your Apple device (iPhone, iPad, or Mac) is running iOS 14.5/iPad OS 14.5/macOS 12.5 or above.
2. Open the native "Find My" app on your Apple device.
3. In the "Find My" app, navigate to the "Items" tab at the bottom of the screen.
4. Tap the "+" icon to add a new item.
5. Select "Add Other Item" or similar option.
6. The app will begin searching for nearby compatible devices. Ensure your NTag tracker is powered on and within range.
7. Once "NTag" appears, follow the on-screen prompts to complete the pairing process.
8. You will be asked to give your NTag a name (e.g., "Keys," "Backpack," "Pet Collar") and assign an emoji.
9. Confirm the connection to your Apple ID. Your NTag is now ready for use.

6. Operating Instructions

Locating a Lost Item

1. Open the "Find My" app on your Apple device.
2. Go to the "Items" tab.
3. Select the NTag associated with the item you wish to locate.
4. Play Sound: If the item is nearby, tap "Play Sound" to make the NTag emit an audible alert, helping you pinpoint its exact location.
5. Directions: If the item is further away, tap "Directions" to get turn-by-turn directions to its last known location on a map.

Activating Lost Mode

If your item is lost or stolen, you can activate Lost Mode in the "Find My" app:

1. In the "Find My" app, select your NTag.
2. Scroll down and tap "Enable" under Lost Mode.
3. Follow the instructions to enter a contact phone number and a message that will be displayed if someone finds your item.
4. You will receive a notification when your NTag is located by another device on the Find My network.

Preventing Unwanted Tracking

The Find My network is designed with privacy in mind. If an unknown NTag or similar device is detected traveling with you over time, your Apple device will alert you, allowing you to disable it.

7. Maintenance

Battery Replacement

The NTag uses a standard 3V/75mAh button cell battery (CR2032 equivalent) which can be easily replaced. When the battery is low, you will receive a notification on your Apple device. To replace the battery:

1. Gently twist open the tracker's casing.
2. Remove the old CR2032 battery.
3. Insert a new CR2032 battery with the positive (+) side facing up.
4. Close the casing securely.

Cleaning and Care

• Wipe the tracker with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust or dirt.
• Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
• While the device is IP65 waterproof, avoid submerging it in water or exposing it to heavy rain for prolonged periods.

8. Troubleshooting

Device Not Found in Find My App

• Ensure the NTag's battery is not depleted. Replace if necessary.
• Verify that Bluetooth is enabled on your Apple device.
• Make sure your Apple device is running a supported operating system (iOS 14.5/iPad OS 14.5/macOS 12.5 or above).
• Bring the NTag closer to your Apple device during the initial pairing process.
• Try restarting both your Apple device and the NTag (by removing and reinserting the battery).

No Sound from NTag

• Check if the NTag is within Bluetooth range of your Apple device or another device on the Find My network.
• Ensure the volume on your Apple device is turned up.
• Verify that the NTag's battery is not low.

Inaccurate Location

• Location accuracy depends on the density of Apple devices in the vicinity. In areas with fewer Apple devices, location updates might be less frequent or precise.
• Ensure Location Services are enabled for the Find My app on your Apple device.

9. User Tips

• Regular Battery Checks: Although the battery lasts for a year, it's good practice to check its status periodically in the Find My app, especially before important trips.
• Secure Attachment: Always ensure the NTag is securely attached to your items using the integrated keyhole or other suitable means to prevent accidental detachment.
• Familiarize with Find My: Spend some time exploring all the features of the Apple Find My app, such as Lost Mode and notifications, to maximize your tracker's utility.
• Multiple Trackers: Consider purchasing multiple trackers for different high-value items (e.g., wallet, backpack, pet) to benefit from simultaneous tracking and management.
