Compact G1/4" Liquid Water Flow Sensor Instruction Manual

Model: KXRE7HH505179

1. Product Overview

This compact G1/4" liquid water flow sensor is designed to detect the flow of water in various applications, including water dispensers, purifiers, and vending machines. It operates on a simple magnetic displacement principle, activating a reed switch when water flows through it.

4. Setup

  1. Identify Flow Direction: Locate the 'IN' and 'OUT' markings on the sensor body. Ensure the sensor is installed in the correct direction of water flow. An arrow indicating flow direction may also be present on the underside.
  2. Connect Water Lines: Use the G1/4" threaded connections or the 2-point quick connections to integrate the sensor into your water system. Ensure all connections are secure and watertight to prevent leaks.
  3. Wiring: The sensor has a 50cm wire with a connector. Connect this to your control circuit. As a 'Normally Open' switch, the circuit will be open (no signal) when there is no water flow, and it will close (signal detected) when water flows. Refer to your system's wiring diagram for proper integration.
  4. Mounting: Secure the sensor in place using the integrated mounting points and screws, if necessary, to prevent movement or strain on the connections.

5. Operating Instructions

The water flow sensor operates automatically based on the presence or absence of liquid flow. Once installed and wired correctly:

The response time for flow detection is less than 1 second.

6. Maintenance

To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your water flow sensor, follow these maintenance guidelines:
