Important Compatibility Notes
Attention: This adapter is only for OEM cars with built-in wired CarPlay or wired Android Auto. It is not applicable to BMW models, as BMW vehicles typically do not come with wired CarPlay/Android Auto functionality.
Please ensure your car supports wired CarPlay/Android Auto before using this product.
- For Wireless CarPlay: Requires iPhone 6 or later models with iOS 10 or above.
- For Wireless Android Auto: Requires an Android smartphone that supports the latest Android Auto function and has Android 11 or higher operating system.
How to Confirm Car Compatibility:
- Method 1: Connect your iPhone or Android smartphone to your car using a USB data cable. Check if the CarPlay or Android Auto logo appears on your car's display.
- Method 2: Consult your car manufacturer or check their official website for a list of compatible models that support wired CarPlay/Android Auto.

Product Overview
The MEKEDE Wireless Carplay Adapter & Android Auto Smart USB Dongle converts your car's existing wired CarPlay or Android Auto system into a wireless one. Enjoy seamless integration of your smartphone apps, navigation, music, and voice control directly on your car's display without the need for cables.

Setup Instructions
- Start Car: Start your car and wait for the car head unit system to fully load.
- Connect Adapter: Connect the Wireless Carplay Android Auto adapter to the USB-A or USB-C port in your car. Ensure you plug the adapter into the port designated for wired Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.
- Pair Bluetooth: On your iPhone/Android smartphone, open Wi-Fi and Bluetooth settings. Find the Bluetooth device named "Wireless Dongle****" and click to pair.
- Grant Permissions: Follow the prompts on your phone to click 'Allow' and then 'Use CarPlay' or 'Use Android Auto'.
- Enjoy: You are now ready to enjoy wireless CarPlay or wireless Android Auto.
Working Principle: The adapter uses Bluetooth to establish an initial pairing between your smartphone and the vehicle. After successful pairing, it switches to Wi-Fi to maintain the wireless connection. Your smartphone's Wi-Fi will automatically connect to the adapter's Wi-Fi. The adapter's Bluetooth connection will then disconnect by default for CarPlay, and for Android Auto, it will automatically connect to your vehicle's Bluetooth.

Troubleshooting (FAQ)
- Q: What is the Wi-Fi password for the Wireless Carplay Adapter?
- A: After Bluetooth matching is successful, Wi-Fi will automatically connect. There is no need for a Wi-Fi password. Ensure Wi-Fi is turned on and unoccupied when pairing.
- Q: After pairing, Android Auto function does not start or the USB is not recognized.
- A: Ensure your car's Android Auto function has been used successfully with a wired connection at least once. Also, ensure Android Auto on your phone is the latest version. Try turning off Bluetooth on your phone, restarting the adapter, and then reconnecting Bluetooth.
- Q: Audio input or output issues (calls rejected, no sound, microphone not working, music interrupted, abnormal voice function).
- A: Check if your smartphone's Bluetooth is connected to other devices (e.g., earphones, smartwatches). Disconnect any auto-connected Bluetooth devices. Ensure the default audio output option is set to CarPlay/Android Auto.
- Q: Can my mobile phone use other internet Wi-Fi when using the wireless adapter?
- A: When enjoying the wireless Android Auto/CarPlay function, your phone's Wi-Fi will be occupied by the adapter, so you cannot use other internet Wi-Fi simultaneously.
- Q: The adapter is unable to automatically reconnect.
- A: Please ensure that the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi functions of your mobile phone are enabled. Try clearing the pairing record on your phone, restarting both your phone and the adapter, and then re-pairing.
- Q: Can the adapter be paired with multiple phones?
- A: The adapter can be paired with a maximum of five phones, but only one device can be connected at a time. If you wish to pair a new phone, please cancel the current connection first. By default, it will auto-connect to the last used phone.
- Q: Can't find the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi of the wireless adapter?
- A: Ensure the adapter's blue power light is on. Make sure the adapter is plugged into the correct USB port for wired CarPlay/Android Auto. If possible, test with another phone. If only a specific phone cannot find the Bluetooth/Wi-Fi, try resetting its network and Bluetooth settings and restarting the phone. If the problem persists with multiple phones, the adapter may be defective.
- Q: Does the adapter support video playback while driving?
- A: CarPlay and Android Auto typically do not allow video playback while driving for safety reasons.
