4. Setup Guide

1. Unpack the Keypad: Carefully remove the K33 numeric keypad and its USB Type-C cable from the packaging.
2. Connect the Cable: Insert the Type-C end of the provided USB cable into the Type-C port on the numeric keypad.
3. Connect to Computer: Plug the standard USB-A end of the cable into an available USB port on your computer (desktop, laptop, or tablet).
4. Driver Installation (Plug & Play): The K33 keypad is typically plug-and-play. Your operating system (Windows, macOS) should automatically detect and install the necessary drivers. No additional software installation is usually required.

• Numeric Input: Use the number keys (0-9) for numerical data entry.
• Arithmetic Operations: The '+', '-', '*', '/' keys provide standard arithmetic functions.
• Enter Key: Functions as a standard Enter key.
• Backspace Key: Deletes the character to the left of the cursor.
• Navigation Keys: The arrow keys (Up, Down, Left, Right) allow for cursor movement.
• Special Function Keys: Keys like PRTSC (Print Screen), SCRLK (Scroll Lock), PAUSE, INS (Insert), HOME, END, PD (Page Down), PU (Page Up), NUM (Num Lock), ESC (Escape), and FN (Function) provide additional utility.

6. Lighting Control

The K33 numeric keypad features customizable colorful backlighting. Use the FN (Function) key in combination with other keys to adjust the lighting effects:

• FN + 5: Switches between different lighting modes/effects. There are 4 kinds of light effects available.
• FN + 8: Increases the brightness of the backlighting.
• FN + 2: Decreases the brightness of the backlighting.
• FN + 2 (pressed 4 consecutive times): Turns off the backlighting completely.

7. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the keypad. For deeper cleaning, you may use a slightly damp cloth with mild soap, ensuring no liquid enters the key switches or internal components.
• Keycap Removal: Keycaps can be carefully removed for cleaning or replacement using a keycap puller (not included). Be gentle to avoid damaging the switches.
• Storage: Store the keypad in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• Avoid Liquids: Do not expose the keypad to water or other liquids, as this can cause permanent damage.
• Cable Care: Avoid bending or twisting the USB cable excessively to prevent internal wire damage.

8. Troubleshooting

• Keypad Not Responding:
  • Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the keypad and your computer.
  • Try plugging the keypad into a different USB port on your computer.
  • Test the keypad on another computer to rule out a computer-specific issue.
• Backlighting Not Working or Incorrect:
  • Press FN+5 to cycle through different lighting modes.
  • Press FN+8 to increase brightness, or FN+2 to decrease brightness.
  • If the lights are off, press FN+2 four times consecutively to turn them back on.
• Keys Not Registering Correctly:
  • Check for any debris or foreign objects under the keycaps that might be obstructing the switches.
  • Ensure the Num Lock key (if present and functional on your main keyboard or the keypad itself) is activated if you are expecting numeric input.
