5. Setup

5.1 Charging the Device

  1. Connect the Micro USB cable to the AC6000 BT's power input port (refer to Figure 3).
  2. Connect the other end of the USB cable to a compatible USB power source (e.g., computer, wall adapter).
  3. The device will indicate charging status on the OLED display. Ensure the device is fully charged before first use.

5.2 Power On/Off

  • To power on, press and hold the power button (refer to Figure 3) until the OLED display illuminates.
  • To power off, press and hold the power button until the display turns off.

5.3 Mounting (Optional)

The AC6000 BT features a tripod-ready mounting hole at the bottom. You can attach it to a standard camera or camcorder tripod for stable measurements.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Basic Measurement

  1. Power on the AC6000 BT.
  2. Ensure the correct ammo parameters (weight, diameter) are selected on the device (see Section 6.2).
  3. Aim your airsoft gun or airgun through the speed tube, ensuring the projectile passes cleanly through the center without touching the sides.
  4. Fire a shot. The muzzle velocity, ROF, and kinetic energy will be displayed on the OLED screen.
  5. The device will automatically record the shot in its memory.

6.2 Ammo Parameter Setting

The AC6000 BT allows you to set up to 5 different ammo parameters. Use the 4-way push button to navigate the menu and select/change parameters directly on the main screen. This includes setting the BB weight and diameter, which are crucial for accurate kinetic energy calculations.

6.3 Reviewing Shot Memory

The device stores up to 25 shots in its memory. You can navigate through these recorded shots using the operation buttons. The AC6000 BT will automatically calculate and display the maximum (MAX), minimum (MIN), and average (AVG) values for velocity and ROF from the stored shots.

6.4 Bluetooth Connectivity and App Usage

The AC6000 BT can connect to the Acetech mobile application for advanced data management.

  1. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device.
  2. Download and install the official Acetech APP from your device's app store.
  3. Power on the AC6000 BT.
  4. Open the Acetech APP and follow the on-screen instructions to pair with your AC6000 BT.
  5. Once connected, you can view real-time shooting data, access detailed data charts, switch between different measurement units (RPS/PRM, Joule/ft-lb/J/cm²), select ammo types (Ammo 1-6 with specific diameter and weight), and clear shooting data directly from the app. The app also displays highest, average, and minimum speed/RPS.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Regularly clean the speed tube and IR sensors to ensure accurate readings. Use a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Storage: Store the chronograph in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Battery Care: Charge the device regularly, even if not in frequent use, to maintain battery health. Avoid fully discharging the battery for extended periods.
  • Handling: Handle the device with care to prevent damage to the OLED screen or internal components.

8. Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Inaccurate readings or no readings Dirty IR sensors; projectile hitting the tube; incorrect ammo parameters. Clean the speed tube and sensors. Ensure projectiles pass cleanly. Verify ammo weight and diameter settings.
Device does not power on Low or depleted battery. Charge the device using the Micro USB cable.
Bluetooth connection issues Bluetooth off on mobile device; app not updated; device not in pairing mode. Ensure mobile Bluetooth is on. Update Acetech APP. Restart both devices and try pairing again.
