4. Setup and Installation

The S311 charger uses a bottom entry/exit wiring method. All electrical connections must be performed by a certified electrician. Ensure the power supply matches the charger's requirements (AC220V ±20%, 50Hz) and that proper grounding is established. The system will not allow charging without proper grounding.

5. Operating Instructions

The MRCARTOOL S311 features a user-friendly touchscreen display and multiple ways to initiate charging.

5.1 Connecting to Your EV

  1. Open the charging port cover on your electric vehicle.
  2. Take the charging gun from its socket on the S311 unit.
  3. Insert the charging gun firmly into your EV's charging port until it clicks into place.

5.2 Charging Access Options

The S311 offers three methods to start charging:

  • Card Swipe Access: Unlock the device and start charging by swiping the provided RFID card over the designated sensor. This prevents unauthorized usage.

  • Leakage Protection: Automatically restores power after 3 minutes if triggered.
  • Overcurrent Protection: Cuts off power output if current exceeds 35A, automatically restoring after 1 minute.
  • Overvoltage Protection: Activates when voltage exceeds 275V, automatically restoring power once stable.
  • Undervoltage Protection: Initiated if voltage drops below 88V, automatically restoring power once stable.
  • Temperature Protection: Activates if temperature exceeds 83°C, automatically restoring power when it drops to 80°C.
  • Grounding Protection: Charging is not allowed without proper grounding.
  • Emergency Stop Protection: A dedicated emergency stop switch immediately cuts off power output. Normal operation resumes upon restoring the switch.
